Basics of the game

Premise -

Gnasty Gnorc has turned all of the Dragons into crystalline statues, stolen all of the Dragon's Eggs and the Dragon's Treasure. Not all hope is lost though, as Spyro was fortunate enough to escape meeting the same fate. Spyro must now travel throughout the various worlds to save his kin from the crystal encasings and rescue the Dragon Eggs from the Egg Thieves, all while recovering the Dragon Treasure. Spyro is not alone as fairies will assist him throughout the worlds by providing him directions and a variety of power ups. Rescue the Dragons and the Dragon Eggs, defeat Gnasty Gnorc and his minions and save the Dragon Realm.

Guidebook -

The guidebook keeps track of all your collectables and level progress. If you happen to miss anything in a previous level, you can easily warp between levels by pressing

on a world from the list.

You need to save 80 Dragons, rescue 12 Dragon Eggs and collect 12,000 gems to open the final level. Completing the last level will get you the remaining 2,000 gems and the 120% completion rate.

Collectables

- Dragons - Dragons are located throughout levels encased in a crystal prisons, you need to approach the Dragons to break them out and save them. Dragon Eggs - Dragon Eggs are held by the Egg Thieves located in sometimes secret area's of the various worlds. You need to chase them down in order to recover the Egg. You will hear the Egg Thieves mocking you with the "Na Na Na Nya Nya", this will help you find them. Dragon Treasure - These are the gems that are laying around as you progress through each world. There are containers that you can break open throughout each world that harbour more gems, enemies will also be carrying them and for certain worlds, you may be required to collect a key to open a locked chest to collect the remainder.

Health -

Your health points are indicated by the colour of Sparx your Dragonfly friend. Each hit you take from an enemy will drop your health state to the lower health state provided below Gold - Gold means that you are at full health Blue - Blue means that you are at medium health Green - Green means that you are low health No Sparx - You will not survive another hit in this state There are harmless critters located throughout levels that you can flame or bash, upon doing so they will reveal a butterfly for Sparx to eat this will restore Sparx to the higher health state. For reference, you require 3 butterflies to restore Sparx to Gold from having Sparx gone.

Lives and Checkpoints -

Lives - You have a limited number of lives, these can be replenished by breaking open Glass Jars containing butterflies, this will also restore you to full health. When you lose all of your lives, fear not, you will only lose your progress in the current level. Checkpoints - These are provided by fairies that reside in the spot where you have rescued a Dragon encased in crystal. They will zap you with their wand to indicate that the checkpoint is active. Upon losing all your health, you will be respawned at that checkpoint unless you have lost all of your lives.

Additional tips -

Egg Thieves - For the blue egg thieves chase them down with the charge

button then flame with the

button to get them to drop the egg. Closing the distance - Platforming between two points in this game can sometimes be dubious, if you charge using

and jump at the end of the platform and then press

Keep in mind - Make sure to defeat any enemies (not critters) you see scattered throughout the worlds for their gems. Break/open any Metal Chests/Chests/Spring Chests for the gems located in them. If you can not find any gems, you can use Sparx by pressing

to point in the direction that any gems are located.

Step 1: Play the game and collect all Dragons/Gems/Eggs

While playing through the game aim for collecting all the Dragons gems and eggs. This will unlock the corresponding trophies: Boom!

Step 2: Miscellaneous clean-up

Clean up any trophies that you may have missed throughout your playthrough of the game. You can use the Guidebook in the pause menu to travel to any worlds that your haven't got 100% on, or to any worlds that you still require trophies for.

Story

Take a trip with a Balloonist You will need to rescue 10 Dragons to use the balloonist to travel to the next Home World

Hop, Skip, and Jump

Find the hidden entrance to Sunny Flight Right at start of the game, turn to the left, you will see 5 platforms located in a pool of water. Jumping onto each platform will cause it light up and glow. Jump on the 5 platforms without touching the water to make them all glow, this will open the passage to the secret level.

Sheep Kebab

Flame 10 sheep in Stone Hill Just simply flame the sheep around the level with the

button. They respawn off screen which makes it pretty easy to get done.

Light My Fire

Light the two bonfires in Dark Hollow Towards the end of the level, you will see what looks like 2 unlit campfires near each other next to some stairs. Simply press the

while aiming at each "bonfire" to light them.

Leaf on the Wind

Glide to secret Egg Thief area in Town Square As you make your way through the level, you will stumble upon a fountain and some stairs to the right of it. You need to jump from the top of the stairs at the highest point. After jumping, you need to glide while following the tower wall which will now be to your right. If you manage to land on the platform with the Egg Thief, your trophy will unlock. I recommend taking out the Egg Thief to get the Dragon Egg and collecting the Gems while you are up here to save you from having to come back for the 100%

Barnstormer

Do a loop around an arch This trophy can only be done in Sunny Flight level. Immediately, when you start you will see 2 railroad bridges in front of you. Fly under one of the bridges and press the

button to perform the loop. You need to perform the full loop around the bridge and return to the start position under the bridge.

Burnt Toast

Defeat Toasty without getting hit by him You can get hit by enemies throughout the level and in the boss arena so long as Toasty himself doesn't land a hit on you. Continue to evade Toasty's attack and use flame attack (

) when you are able. You will want to restart the level if you get hit.

Shoot the Moon

Use a cannon to dispatch a taunting Gnorc You will see Cannons scattered throughout the peacekeepers Homeworld, there will also be some tents nearby. Simply angle the Cannon by pushing the Cannon at the back end (near the fuse). Once you have lined up the Cannon you can use the flame attack (

) to destroy the tents while a gnorc is inside. They will begin to moon you, retort by firing the Cannon again.

Bird Brained

Charge a Vulture In the level Dry Canyon, there are multiple vultures perched throughout the level. They will begin to fly at you as you approach them. Just simply charge one of them while they come at you by pressing and holding the

button.

Birds of a Feather

Flame every Vulture in Cliff Town In the level Cliff Town, there will be some vultures on the upper plateau. Make your way to the location in the image, which is near the end of the level. From here you can glide to the Vultures. Once there, simply flame all the vultures by pressing the flame attack button

Triathlon

Defeat all three Ski Gnorcs In the level Ice Cavern, you can find a cave at the end of the level. Jump along the incrementally higher platforms located in the first image below to access the cave. All three gnorcs are located in the upper cave, however this will come naturally while going for 100% of the level.

The ski Gnorcs are identified on the right in the image below.

Hot Wings 1

Flame all Fairies in Night Flight Follow the intended path and you will see 3 fairies pop up that have an arrow sign here is a video to help with directions

What's in the Box?

Unlock the strong chest in Doctor Shemp Shortly into the level there will be a key on a upper ledge to the right that you cannot reach from the ground, you will need to make you way to the whirlwind and glide to it. Use the first image as a reference. The chest that the key opens is on a lower platform next to the levels exit. Use the second image as a reference.

Comin' Through!

Charge through 4 Armored Druids near the start of Magic Crafters There will be four druids stood in a row in the magic crafters Home World, line them up and then simply press and hold the

button to charge through them. They must all be hit in a single charge.

Pops of the Tops

Detonate 3 explosive chests on the pillars in Alpine Ridge As you make your way through the level Alpine Ridge, you will notice three explosive chests on three pillars. You can reach them from a cliff at the end of the level. From the cliff in the image below you will be able to glide over to them. Simply flame them with the

button and move away so you do not get knocked off the ledge from the explosion.

Arachnophobe

Defeat all Metalback Spiders At the start of High Caves, there will be 5 spiders in a cave which can't be killed through normal means. Getting a kiss from the fairy at the end of the cave will give you Super Flame and will allow you to flame attack the spiders. To get to the fairy you will need to kill the wizards to open the way while avoiding the spiders. You can also use the Supercharge power ups located around the map (indicated by a series of green arrows along the floor) to kill the spiders, if you wish.

Egg Hunt

Defeat hidden Egg Thief in Wizard Peak Make your way through the level Wizard Peak, you'll find Supercharge ramps throughout the level. To perform a Supercharge press and hold

to charge down a ramp thus initiating a Supercharge. In the first image is a Supercharge ramp that you will need to Supercharge up. To do this you will need to use the Supercharge ramp opposite of the one in the image to be able to Supercharge jump and glide to the platform in the second image.

Behind the wall on the platform will be an egg thief, he will not run, so you will only need to be careful not to fall, otherwise you'll need to perform the Supercharge jump and glide again.

Hot Wings 2

Flame all Fairies in Crystal Flight Same as Night Flight, but there are 2 fairies this time. Follow the intended path and as you approach the fairies you'll see them pop-up holding signs, here is a video to help with directions.

Collect 400 gems in Blowhard Very self-explanatory, just collect all the gems in the level. None of them are specifically hidden

Mushroom Hunter

Flame 5 Glowing Mushrooms in Beast Makers In the beastmakers Home World. There will be five mushrooms scattered throughout the level. Here's a video to help find their locations.

Rocketeer

Time-Sensitive

Light 3 fireworks within 15 seconds This trophy can only be done in the level Terrace Village. When you make your way through the level, you will see a rocket on the ground to your right just after a dragon ignore this for now. Continue through the level and to reach the highest platform. Use these to gain access to the previously unreachable platforms. You will find two rockets on a roof, light these two quickly and then jump down to the ground and light the firework that you saw after the dragon. Wait to grab the gems from the chests that are destroyed via the fireworks. You need to focus on lighting the fireworks first or you will run out of time for the trophy and you will need to replay the level.

Cage Free

Free a trapped Chicken This can be done at the start of the level Misty Bog, just scare the chicken away by walking near it and it will run into a cage behind the start of the level. Once it's trapped charge the cage to free it. There are opportunities to do this later in the level, just follow the same steps if you're unfortunate on your first attempt.

Launch Date

Jump off every Supercharge ramp in Tree Tops There are four supercharge ramps in this level, they are required to reach the far-away platforms to collect all dragons and gems in the level. Here is a video guide to help with that locations

I Believe it is Time for Me to Fly

Complete Wild Flight without touching the ground Just complete this level without touching the ground. Most of it is water anyway so this should come naturally from playing the level. If you touch the ground, just restart the level.

Gems in the Rough

Collectible

Collect 500 gems in Metalhead Collect 500 gems throughout the level, but this time there is a hidden path near the start of the level that leads to where the key is as shown in the screenshot. You need to enter the sewer while avoiding the water to the best of your ability. You can use the whirlwind to get back.

The path of platforms to left leads to the chest that the key unlocks

Fool's Errand

Charge through 3 Armored Fools in a row This can only be done in the dream Weaver's HomeWorld. You'll find three Armored Fools that keep getting their sizes changed from the an enemy on a cannon. You can wait for them all to become small and proceed to charge through them in a single charge(press and hold the

button). If you are having trouble with the timing you can kill the enemy on the cannon and use the cannon to make the fools small and return back to charge them.

Bad Doggies!

Defeat 3 Demon Dogs in large form There will be some fools in the level Dark Passage that are holding lanterns, when they blow out the lantern The Enemies will change to larger forms. While the lantern is out, defeat the demon Dogs by using the flame button

there are plenty of them throughout the level, so you shouldn't miss this trophy as long as avoid killing the Demon Dogs in their smaller form.

All Puffed Up

Charge through 4 Puffer Birds in a row This can only be done in the level Lofty Castle. As you make your way through the level you will see four of these enemies in a row, as shown in the image below. Simply press and hold the

button to charge them all. They must all be taken out in a single charge.

Scrap Metal

Defeat all Tin Soldiers In the level Haunted Towers, make your way through the level until you find a supercharged ramp. Follow this video to lead to a secret area where you can find a fairy that will give Spyro a kiss to grant him unlimited Superflamed for the remainder of the level. Superflame can allow you to destroy the tin soldiers with ease and make this trophy easier.

Fly Like an Eagle

Complete Icy Flight without touching the ground Just avoid touching the ground throughout the level, this level is mostly water anyway so this shouldn't be too difficult. If you happen to touch the ground, just restart the level.

Jacques-tacular

Defeat 4 Nightmare Beasts in one glide In the level Jacques, there will be a secret path on the left side of the stage. You will see two Fools running around, flame or charge them to turn them into a clock, this will activate some platforms. Get to the platforms before the clock runs out to gain access to the secret path. You will find these enemies that you have to defeat in one glide, if you miss one just jump in to lava and die to respawn the nightmares.

Ratastic!

Complete Gnorc Cove without killing any Rats If you focus doing this on your first playthrough of the level, you can get 100% in the level later without worrying about killing any rats. If you retained enough health towards the latter part of the level, you can skip to the exit, you'll know where you can skip because you can see the exit across the water. I would only recommend doing this if you have at least a blue dragonfly.

What Really Grinds My Gears

Collectible

Destroy 6 gears in Twilight Harbor Here will be a video to help you locate the 6 gears in Twilight Harbour. When you find the gears, just simply use your flame attack (

) on them.

Dragon and On and On

Get Gnasty Gnorc to complete 5 laps Grab two keys from the thieves. You will need to chase them like you would with an Egg Thief. Use the keys to unlock the platform where Gnasty Gnorc is standing at the beginning. This will lead to the next section where there will be a loop. Once in the next section, simply chase Gnasty Gnorc without using your flame attack (this will progress the fight if you do). The trophy will unlock upon Gnasty Gnorc finishing his 5th lap around the area.

Hoarder

Collectible

Collect all gems in Gnasty's Loot Collect all of the gems in the level Gnasty's Loot. This level works differently than the others. You will be granted permanent flight along with a height cap. The height cap will limit how high you can fly. There will be thieves that are flying around in planes that are holding keys. Chase down and flame the thieves to recieve each key. Each time you open a door in the level, the height cap will be increased. Rinse and repeat this process until you reach Gnasty Gnorcs secret room. You should be able to access all of the gems from this point in the level if you haven't been collecting them as you go.
