How to Play a Hero Shooter:
Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 team game. Your team and the enemy team fight over an objective on a map. The goal is not just to get the most kills; it’s to complete the objective (capture points, escort a payload, etc.) better than the other team.Marvel Rivals has three roles (you can switch heroes mid-match when you die, and roles aren’t locked):Vanguard (Tank) - (Big health, shields, barriers, or self-sustain.) They walk in first, absorb damage, and control space so teammates can fight safely. Their job is to be the Frontline and create and hold space.Duelist (DPS / Damage) - (Highest damage.) Some shoot from range, some flank, some dive. They turn the space tanks create into kills. Their job is to get behind tanks or on flanks and Deal damage and get eliminations.Strategist (Support / Healer) - (Heal, buff, and enable the team.) Most are fragile and stay back. A good one keeps the whole team alive through fights. Their job is to be at the backline (near cover) and keep everyone alive and swing fights with heals/ults.- Vanguard = “I walk in first and don’t die.” Easy starters Groot or Magneto (simple and tanky)- Duelist = “I kill people.” Easy Starter The Punisher (feels like a normal shooter)- Strategist = “I keep everyone alive.” Easy Starter Rocket Raccoon or Luna Snow (straightforward healing)A balanced team usually wants some of each (roughly 2-2-2 is common), but you can run whatever.2-2-2 means running 2 Vanguards, 2 Duelists, and 2 Strategists.It is the most common and highest win-rate composition in Marvel Rivals (around 53–54% win rate in ranked across seasons, with the large majority of teams running it).Basic loop of a match:1. Pick a hero (try one from each role to start).2. Walk with your team toward the objective (follow the big markers).3. Fight as a group.4. If you die, you respawn and can switch heroes.5. Use your ultimate (big ability that charges over time) in actual team fights, not randomly.The only rules a brand-new player really needs:- Stay with your team. Don’t run off alone.- Play the objective. Standing on the point or pushing the payload matters more than chasing kills.- Don’t overextend. If your healers or tanks aren’t with you, fall back.- Protect your Strategists (healers). If they die, your team usually falls apart.- Look at what your team is playing. If no one picked a healer, pick one. If no one is tanking, consider it.First steps:1. Do the tutorial.2. Spend a few minutes in the Practice Range learning one hero’s buttons.3. Jump into Quick Match.4. Stick to 1–2 heroes until you feel comfortable, then try more.That’s it. The game is chaotic at first, but once you understand “stay together, play the point, and know your role,” you’ll start winning and having fun quickly.
Rivals can easily be boosted or played legitimately, but if you are struggling, we are here to help you out. This is how you can boost, but if you are looking for people to play with legitimately, feel free to make a session or join the official Discord. Many of the harder ones are hero-specific multi-kills, team-ups, or map-locked feats. Coordinating with friends (or a second full team) makes them much faster.
1. Prepare Your Group
- Get 6–12 people total (ideally two full 6-player teams).- Add everyone as in-game friends (not just console friends). This is required for the “Assemble!” trophy/achievement and helps with team-ups.- Decide in advance who needs which achievements so you can rotate efficiently.- All players should be on the same platform if possible (or at least enable console-only if cross-play is causing issues).
2. Best Way to Match Two Teams Against Each Other
The most reliable community method (especially for controlled multi-kills) uses a less-populated mode and low-population servers:1. Split into "Team A" and "Team B" (each with a host).2. Have both hosts set their party/region to the "same low-population server" (e.g., Sydney, Singapore, or whatever is quiet at your time).3. Enable "Console Only" matchmaking on both sides if available.4. Switch to a quieter mode such as "Conquest" (or other Arcade modes that aren’t heavily populated).5. Do a short countdown, then both hosts hit Search at the same time.6. If you match each other, great. If not, finish the random match quickly (don’t leave early) and try again.Once matched:- One team focuses on the achievements (position for multi-kills, use specific ultimates, get the required team-ups).- The other team mostly stands still or groups up in the middle to feed the kills (don’t pick up objective coins/points so the match doesn’t end too fast).- Rotate so both teams get their turns.- Matches in Conquest are short (~5 minutes), so plan.Note: Map-specific achievements (Black Panther on Hall of Djalia, Hela on Yggsgard, Luna Snow multi-map, etc.) usually cannot be done this way because Conquest has a limited map pool. Do those in normal Quick Match or Competitive when the map appears.
3. Easier Grouping Methods (No Second Full Team Needed)
You don’t always need two opposing teams:- Just queue as a full party in Quick Match or Arcade. Friends can pick the required teammates (Avengers, X-Men, Guardians, specific pairs for team-ups).- Doom Match (when available) is excellent for controlled kills. Queue with friends and have them pick the exact heroes you need to eliminate (or assist with).- Coordinate in chat/voice: “Everyone pick Avengers so Hawkeye can get the 10 KOs,” “Let me get the triple with this ult,” etc.- For “team wipe” assists (Mantis, Cloak & Dagger, etc.), have the rest of the group focus fire once you pop the relevant ability.

5. Extra Tips
- Always finish the match after you meet the condition they unlock on the results screen.- Communicate clearly so people know who is “feeding” and who is going for the achievement that round.- Keep an eye on new seasonal achievements; Xbox has been adding more with updates (PlayStation’s base Platinum is locked to the original set).This method (especially the two-team low-pop server trick) is the standard way players group up to clear the harder console trophies/achievements efficiently. Just coordinate with friends, rotate who is working on what, and you’ll clear the majority much faster than solo queueing.

Try to stay close to that enemy, and hope their teammates don't heal them, then once the ultimate is over and back to being Bruce, finish off the enemy quickly. As long as the KO was within the time limit, once 1 KO are confirmed the trophy will pop either in game or once the match ends. It is always safe to get more than the minimum 1 KO to guarantee the trophy is met if possible.Boosting Method: Gather 12 players, make sure the host of each group/team selects a dead region, countdown to search at the same time, then pend for match found. to place it, this is the entrance portal. Once placed, move the second portal to its desired location and hit
to place it, this is the exit portal. The best method/trick is to pace the first portal (entrance) right in front of the enemy team's spawn door, and the second portal (exit) off the edge of the map. With a bit of luck, an enemy player not paying attention will run into the portal and to their death. Once 1 KO is confirmed, the trophy will pop either in game or once the match ends. This is the most difficult trophy of the game due to it needing to be completed on a specific map listed in its description. Not only that, but Black Panther is not the easiest character to get KOs with, so this will take time, practice, and patience. If you happen to already be good with Black Panther's play style/controls, then that will make this trophy a bit easier and only leaves the RNG of getting the needed map.As far as the 3 KO streak goes, always be near the objective or populated area and hit as many people as possible until the triple kill icon pops up. Once landing a 3-player KO streak, the trophy will pop in game or after the match.
Vicious Vines
As Groot, imprison 4 enemies with a single use of Strangling Prison.

A way to tell if Kraken Impact is still going is if Winter Solider says "Again" each time a slam is completed. Once 3 KOs are confirmed in a single use of Kraken Impact, the trophy will pop either in game or once the match ends. It is always safe to get more than the minimum 3 KOs to guarantee the trophy is met if possible.
