Trophy Roadmap
Use this roadmap to understand the main path through Battle for the Grid. Review the difficulty, estimated time, platform coverage, walkthrough notes, and trophy-specific tips before starting your next clean-up run.
Welcome to the Power Rangers Universe! To begin your journey, we'll start with 'Arcade' mode, which requires you to achieve multiple endings with specific characters. Arcade mode has a total of seven stages, which will be randomly selected from your available character roster, with the final stage consisting of a two-phase fight. In the first phase, you'll almost always be fighting against . However, the second phase is where the real boss fight begins, as this time, will start the fight with two health bars instead of one. The enemies in the final stage will always be the same, making it easy to learn their moveset and best countermeasures when fighting against them. For specific tactics you can implement to make these fights easier, it's recommended to use the Tips and Strategies section to comprehend the movelist, or to read the trophy description for each of the character-specific Arcade trophies in this stage, as there will be a list of unique moves and combos special for that character. Once you have completed the entirety of the Arcade mode, you may progress to the next stage.

Step 2: Reaching Master League in Ranked | "May the Power Protect You"
Welcome to Ranked Mode! In this stage, you will be fighting against real players and battling your way to achieve the highest League Rank in the game, Master League. Besides the League Rank requirements, there are also match requirement trophies tied to total fights and wins. There are two kinds of multiplayer matches you could search for: "Online", "Ranked", and "Lobbies". Online matches connect you solely based on any nearby players also searching for a match, and Ranked matches connect you based purely on your League Rank. Lobbies can be created by other players, which act as a custom match, meaning it will not count for any of the trophies. For all of the trophies requiring Online Matches and Ranked Matches, you will mainly prioritize Ranked for all of the remaining trophies, as playing Ranked Matches also counts towards the Online Matches trophies. The largest obstacle in this stage will be
Master, which requires you to achieve the highest rank in the game in Ranked Mode. To reach Master League, it will require a lot of time and skill to make progress as you gain/lose the same amount of points when you win and lose, meaning it will be fairly difficult if you continually match with a player you're continually losing against. For specific strategic plays and methods to improve your gameplay, it's highly recommended to refer to the Tips and Strategies section, as it will drastically assist you in attaining Master League.

Step 3: Morphenomenal and The Grind | "I'm a Power Ranger 'Til the End."
Welcome to the final stage of your Ranger journey! In this stage, it will consist of the most grind-heavy trophies being tied to your Player Level, along with Total Matches Fought and Ranked Match Wins. The Player Level is determined based on what level each of your characters has reached from playing the Ranked Matches, and it combines all of their levels to present your Player Level. The best means to achieve
Morphenomenal is by using multiple characters and leveling them up, as leveling up past Level 30 requires a large amount of XP for every level gained. You'll be aiming for
Protect This World Together and
Go Go Power Rangers! as well, while leveling up your characters, with match wins giving you more XP. The total number of wins and matches played can be viewed by selecting "Profile" from the Main Menu, which will give you a complete breakdown of those details, including your Most Used Character, Super Attacks Used, and Longest Combo achieved. Due to this section requiring a large sum of Wins, please use the Tips and Strategies section to hone your skills further and obtain multiple wins.

Base Controls
Due to the numerous characters released over the game's lifespan, many different combos and specials are character-specific. For these moves, they will be discussed under some of the character-tied trophies to make those sections easier to play through. The Move List below can be interpreted through both the set buttons/triggers on the controller and through the Numeric Annotation System, which is commonly used for reference for fighting games and as an instructional guide on how to input the controls to achieve specific combos. Before getting into the complex character combos, it's crucial to learn what the base controls for the game are to begin your trophy-hunting journey, Ranger!
NOTE: The moves and inputs are being taken from the perspective of facing to the right. As a result, some of the moves requiring back or forward commands would have to be swapped if inputting them while facing left.

Rangers and Villains Roster
Battle for the Grid has numerous characters that were added post-launch, surpassing the total number of characters that were released Day One. From these lists of characters, only a couple have character-specific trophies that are tied to "Arcade Mode", while the remaining characters either don't have a trophy or were DLC released as seasonal passes. Some of the DLC characters are very easy to master, and additionally, make trophies like
Morphenomenal take drastically less time due to the character's level being quicker to level up, the lower the level they are, and higher level characters requiring more XP to level up. This is every character you can play as in the game, including the Base Game and DLC-required characters:

How to Move at Lightspeed
No matter the fight, there will be some tricky situations where you want to avoid being hit or avoid being stuck in a barrage of combos from an opponent, as one combo could be all it takes to make you lose. However, with quick reaction time and knowledge of button layout, you can move your character at insane speeds and quickly evade any attack before any of the opponent's attacks connect. While you could use the Forward Dash or Back Dash, it may not be the fastest way to traverse around the stage, as there are other methods to rapidly move your character around the screen with little effort. Below is a video that showcases the different stages of movement tech that you can utilize in matches, and make it difficult for your opponent to determine your next move:

How does the Combo System Work?
As mentioned above in the Basic Controls section, these are the base controls that are available at your disposal with every character; the only difference is how you combine them. In Battle for the Grid, there are a total of 26 different characters (if including all DLCs), which means that some characters behave differently, either by their overall speed of movement or by having their attack pattern be difficult to chain, unlike other characters. A character like DragonArmorTrini has the highest HP in the game, but it comes at the cost of her overall movement, as she moves the slowest of all the other characters due to her model's size. The combos in this game allow for multiple opportunities for juggling and are easily able to extend combos for very long periods. The video below highlights every aspect within the Combo System, such as Ground Bounce, Wall Bounce, Staggers, and Spinning Knockdowns, which will drastically increase your ability to maintain combos and put the pressure on the opponent:Timestamps:
OTG | 2:32 - 2:57
2L | 2:58 - 3:20
Spinning Knockdown | 3:22 - 3:34
Ground Bounce | 3:35 - 3:55
Launch | 3:55 - 4:02
Capture | 4:03 - 4:10
Wall Bounce | 4:11 - 4:19
Reverse Launch | 4:20 - 4:30
Freeze | 4:31 - 4:42
Crumple | 4:43 - 5:00
Stagger | 5:01 - 5:14
Learning the Combo System

Operation: Combo Overdrive
Now that you have learned how the combo system operates and the controls on how to perform specific movesets, it's time to combine everything thus far to make your combos go into Overdrive. Most fighting games, such as Dragon Ball FighterZ, have elements implemented to prevent near-infinite combos with Damage Scaling. The first couple of hits in a combo will do plenty of damage; however, the longer the combo continues, the less damage it will do, progressively scaling lower and lower. In Battle for the Grid, damage scaling does not apply to the same restrictions as games like FighterZ, as the damage scaling is practically nonexistent, with characters able to one combo an opponent's entire health bar in a 45-Hit Combo.Every character is different to an extent, meaning that the combo chains one character can use might not be possible to achieve with a different character due to their unique abilities and specials functioning separately, so it's good to keep that in mind when using various characters. Despite these restrictions, each character has the potential to perform ludicrous combos, with the only restrictions being your current skill level and whether the character you want to use is a DLC character. With the knowledge gained from the previous sections, the video below will explain how all the information ties into making a practically unbeatable combo, fine-tuning your skills into an unstoppable force:
How to create a Fury of Combos
Credit: AnActualViolist
With the design of the Combo System, it not only allows you to perform long-lasting combos, but also effective combos that will entirely remove a full bar of the Enemy's Health. You should consider learning some 100% combos for your favorite characters! These will help you a lot in Ranked and make the league rank-related trophies come much easier, due to the power of 100% Combos and their effectiveness! Below is a video that highlights all the available characters and each of their 100% Combo Chain, as each character will have different playstyles and movesets from others:

Tip #1: For the early stages of the trophy grinding, use this time to feel out which characters suit you the best, as they will be important for the multiplayer sections and be essential for playing online/ranked matches.Tip #2: This game does have Crossplay automatically enabled when launching the game. You could turn it off to only get matched with PS4 players, just be aware that it can take several minutes to connect to the match, especially once you reach the higher ranks in Ranked mode.Tip #3: Battle for the Grid is region-locked, meaning a player in the United States will never be able to connect with a player from the United Kingdom. You can only connect with players who are within your region.Tip #4: When searching for any online match, the likelihood of finding an opponent depends on the time of day you are playing, with the best times to play being the weekends and afternoons.

Complete Arcade Mode with 9 CharactersOut of the 26 characters, you will have to complete Arcade mode with 9 of them as your point (first-selected) character. While you always select 3 characters to form your team, only your point character will be counted, meaning you have to do 9 individual runs of arcade mode, each with a different starting character! It is recommended to set the CPU difficulty to Easy in the settings tab at the bottom of the main menu, as the CPU is unforgiving, and it will generally make this trophy go faster.Arcade mode can be a little strange, and the way it functions varies just a little from character to character. For most characters, it's a normal run through of about 8 fights against teams of three, with varying final bosses and sub-bosses, and some dialogue. But for some characters, your team chosen outside of the point character is swept to the side, and you go on a dialogue-heavy story with this character, playing with different teams of different numbers! At the end of the day, all of these runs are legitimate and will count towards the trophy. In order to do only the minimum required amount of arcade runs for all the trophies, it is recommended that you do one arcade run each with these 9 characters. You can check their trophy information for some gameplay gimmicks and strategies against the CPU:
Tommy Oliver - Earns
Power Ranger Veteran
Gia Morgan - Earns

Black Mastodon Sentry - Earns
Mastodon-One
Most characters in this game are paid DLC - the nine listed above are included in the base game, and have their own trophies attached for Arcade Mode. While they each have their own gimmicks, 3 characters were added to the game in an update as free DLC, and while they have no trophies for completing Arcade Mode, they make excellent second and third teammates.
DragonArmorTrini - Trini is an all-around easy-to-use character, and against the CPU, she makes great use of her forward and air specials! When playing against the CPU as Trini, spam her forward special, which will have her launch herself forward. When it hits the opponent, they will go flying backward for a wall bounce, giving you time to cancel into your air special - a big stomp - and hit your opponent as they fall! The CPU will fall for this over and over again, so feel free to spam it!
Udonna - Udonna is a well-known gimmicky character, and you'll want to spam her air special against the CPU. Jump backwards away from your opponent and perform your air special, shooting the projectiles that combo into each other. The CPU will rarely find a way to get past this, and if they do, you can typically just grab the CPU and toss them away, and start again!
Cenezoic Blue - Blue's forward special is a decent gimmick to use; mash it for all the hits to come out! He'll shoot lightning from his hands to zap his opponents, with up to three inputs giving his lightning the most range and damage. Out of these three characters, Blue is the least intuitive to use, so if you're looking for a gimmick character to beat Arcade Mode with, it might be best to stick to the first two!
Power Ranger Veteran
Story
Complete Arcade mode with Tommy Oliver
Note: Arcade mode is easily beaten with a character you feel most comfortable using. You get three characters to select in the standard Arcade mode run. If the character(s) you feel best with aren't tied to this trophy, pick them as your second or third character! It's recommended to set the difficulty to Easy, as the CPU in this game is rather punishing!
In order to finish Arcade mode with Tommy Oliver, he must be your point character, meaning he must be the first character you pick for your team, as opposed to just having him on the team.
Move Name
Move Input
Move Description
Axe Kick
(
+
) / 4 + M
This move functions as a decent anti-air against jumping opponents. It can also be combo'd into, but the only thing it can be canceled into is Tommy's Super!
Putty Master
(
+
) / 6 + M
A forward lunging kick that causes a wall bounce. Useful for combos!
Double Thrust
( while airbourne )
,
/ M + M
When in the air, Tommy can mash two hits out of his medium attack. You'll land too early to do the second hit if you attempt this on a Jump-in, but it's a useful move for combos and even close-quarters air-to-airs. It doesn't cancel into your heavy attack, but it will cancel into your airborne special!
Dragon Dagger Launch
(
+
) / 2 + H
A launch from crouching that primarily functions as a combo tool! This move can also be used as a poor man's anti-air.
Dragon Fire
(
) / S
A full-screen projectile with a long startup!
Dragon Wave
(
+
) / 4+ S
Another projectile! This one goes about 3/4 of the screen and does a soft knockdown on your opponent.
Dragon Drop
(
+
) / 4+ S
A forward kick where Tommy launches himself about half-screen. Once this kick lands, he'll bounce backwards to land just behind where he was! This airborne recovery can be canceled into Dragon Dive, which makes it useful in combos, or just for mixing up your opponent by making them question whether or not you're going to use it to follow up or not on block!
Dragon Drill
(
+
) / 6 + S (hold button)
By holding the special button, you'll get Dragon Drill instead of Dragon Drop! This has a longer startup, but on hit will briefly bounce your opponent, giving you just enough time to land Dragon Dagger Launch. It also doesn't send you back to where you came! This is also Tommy's assist, granting you extra pressure and combo use out of it if Tommy is on your team!
Dragon Dive
(while airborne)
/ S
It's always good to have a dive attack! You can do this in a forward jump to quickly attack your opponent, or do this from a backwards jump to mix them up. It will always dive forward, so if you jump over your opponent, you won't cross them up, but you can use this to get out of the corner! It's also useful in combos, especially those that take your opponent to the air.
Dagger Combination
(
+
) / L + S
An invincible reversal that does good damage and knocks the opponent down. This move will cost one bar of your Super Meter.
Dragonzord Missile Assault
(
+
) / H + S
This is technically a projectile super, as you can move around during the attack, and even combo from it! Some missiles will rain down onto your opponent, and this will track them wherever they are, making it both useful in combos AND useful against opponents who are trying to stay far away from you! This move will cost one bar of your Super Meter.
Arcade Mode
Tommy Oliver is an easy character to use, and against the CPU, he has an extremely spammable gimmick - his forward special, Dragon Drop, done with (
+
) / 4 + S. This move launches Tommy forward into a kick, which will then bounce off your opponent, making it safe when blocked. But whether or not it's blocked, as long as it connects, you can quickly press the special button again to do a second hit. If the CPU blocks the first hit, they will almost always get hit by the second! While this move can win entire arcade matches by just being used on loop, it doesn't have a ton of range, so make sure to use it when you're close. It also has a decent amount of recovery time if it misses completely, leaving you open to attack! Be careful and try to back your opponent into a corner. Once you've backed them into a corner, you can reliably loop this move on their wakeup over and over until they are defeated.Once you've completed the final fight of Arcade Mode with Tommy, the trophy will pop!
Megaforce, All Together
Story
Complete Arcade mode with Gia Moran
Note: Arcade mode is easily beaten with a character you feel most comfortable using. You get three characters to select in the standard Arcade mode run. If the character(s) you feel best with aren't tied to this trophy, pick them as your second or third character! It's recommended to set the difficulty to Easy, as the CPU in this game is rather punishing!
In order to finish Arcade mode with Gia Moran, she must be your point character, meaning she must be the first character you pick for your team, as opposed to just having her on the team.
Move Name
Move Input
Move Description
Diagonal Shot
(
+
) / 4 + M
A somewhat reliable anti-air in which Gia fires into the air diagonally, just as the name suggests! It can't be canceled into for combos, but you'd never have a reason to, as it doesn't hit grounded opponents at all! However, against jumping opponents, this move functions as an anti-air combo starter, making it extremely valuable in the right situation! In fact, this move is the first hit in Gia's target combo, Pistol Combination. This move also nullifies projectiles it hits, as it's technically a projectile, albeit with an awkward range.
Scimitar
(
+
) / 4 + H
Another anti-air and combo starter! While it doesn't beat out projectiles, it can be canceled into and hits grounded opponents! Like many dedicated anti-air moves, this move functions as a launcher, and when hitting an opponent with this move, you can jump into the air right after them to keep hitting them!
Overhead Slice
(
+
) / 6 + H
As the name pretty much states, this move is an overhead, meaning it cannot be blocked crouching! You can't cancel into it, but you can use it mid combo on a hard knockdown as an OTG move, and it'll grant you a bounce to keep the combo going!
Pistol Combination
(
+
,
,
) / 4 + M, M, H
Gia's target combo. A three-hit move that causes a wall bounce and a knockdown. The first hit of this move is Gia's command normal Diagonal Shot, and does not hit grounded opponents, meaning this target combo is tailor-made to combo as an anti-air! You can whiff the first hit if you want to do this on a grounded opponent, but this can be risky!Note the timing as well - you can't just mash this (well, you can, but you'll have to time that too!) You have to press the buttons at the right timing - otherwise, either nothing will come out or you'll get Gia's standard normals.
Double Whip
(
) / S
Gia's beloved mix-up special! This move will hit low and then overhead, and will knock down on hit - and then hit OTG! This move works in a lot of settings - its long range allows you to keep your opponent far away, and at any range it reaches, you can potentially mix up your opponent if they aren't familiar with the matchup. It's also great in combos - as mentioned before, it hits opponents who have been knocked down, so you can extend the combo.
Whip Fling
(
+
) / 4 + S
Another long-distance mix-up tool! Gia fires out her whip in a straight line, just a shade under full-screen to hit her opponent! This can be used to keep out opponents who need to get close, or to hit opponents who are trying to stay far away with projectiles - in fact, pressing (
) / S a second time will activate Engage, which will bring you up close and personal, turning this move into something of a combo starter!
Engage
(after Whip Fling Hit) (
) / S
The follow-up attack to Whip Fling! This move turns a long-distance attack into an up-close combo tool! If your Whip Fling is blocked, you could potentially mix-up your opponent by doing this anyway. It's risky, but if your opponent doesn't expect it, it's very rewarding! Outside of that, this move is very useful for closing the gap against players who want to stay far away!
Saber Whip
(
+
) / 6 + S
A close-up combo tool! Gia spins around in a circle and does a few hits with her whip. Not a ton to say about this one - you can cancel into this move from your normals and do more damage in combos! Knocks down on hit. This is also Gia's assist, meaning you can use it to extend your combos as any character, so long as she's on the team.
Saber Strike
(while airborne) (
) / S
A downward-angled whip attack! It has a lot of range and can be used as a keep-away tool, as well as a long-range jump in attack to pressure the opponent! It can work as a combo starter at close range, but if you can do that, you can probably do something better. This also hits overhead, putting extra pressure and a mix-up if you want to do a Double Whip right as you land from doing this move!
Saber Rush
(
+
) / L + S
As EX moves go, this one really does just feel like an enhanced Saber Whip! Gia spins around with her whip and then shoots the player, sending them just under full-screen away for a knockdown. It's also an invincible reversal! This move will cost one bar of your Super Meter.
Mega Blast
(
+
) / H + S
A full-screen projectile that does a ton of damage! You can cancel into this from a combo, or if you're fighting someone who prefers to play keepaway and fire their own projectiles at you, you can use this from any distance to win the zoning war! It's pretty fast as well, so you can use it to whiff-punish a lot of moves if you're full-screen.This move will cost two bars of your Super Meter.
Arcade Mode
Spam Gia's neutral special, Double Whip, endlessly if you want victory in Arcade Mode! There honestly isn't much more you need to do with her... The CPU likes to let you hit them with this move like it's a thing to do!And you can do this up to the final boss, too! Land the final hit on that boss, and you'll have this trophy!
Forever Red
Story
Complete Arcade mode with Jason Lee Scott
Note: Arcade mode is easily beaten with a character you feel most comfortable using. You get three characters to select in the standard Arcade mode run. If the character(s) you feel best with aren't tied to this trophy, pick them as your second or third character! It's recommended to set the difficulty to Easy, as the CPU in this game is rather punishing!
In order to finish Arcade mode with Jason Lee Scott, he must be your point character, meaning he must be the first character you pick for your team, as opposed to just having him on the team.
Move Name
Move Input
Move Description
Tyranno Upper
(
+
) / 2 + H
This move functions as an anti-air and a launcher, giving you defense against jumping opponents and extending combos. You can combo into this move from a move that knocks down - such as (
+
) / 2 + M - to launch your opponent, and then jump into the air to follow them!
Titanus Counter
(
) / S
This move is a parry and strike. If an opponent attacks you during this move, you'll go through the attack and hit them! If you aren't attacked during this move, you'll still ultimately attack, as Jason thrusts his sword forward after the parry.
Back Roll
(
+
) / 4 + S
This move is a backwards dodge, allowing you to pass through attacks, including projectiles! It cancels into Jason's own projectiles as well, making it extremely useful for fighting projectile spam.
Cover Fire Low
(during Back Roll) (
,
) / M, M
While using Back Roll, press (
) / M up to two times to fire off two shots! The first shot will go low, and the second will go high, forcing different blocks. Use this with Cover Fire High to mix your opponent up!
Cover Fire High
(during Back Roll) (
,
) / L, L or (
,
) / S, S
Just like Cover Fire Low, you can cancel out of Back Roll to fire two projectiles at your opponent - the key difference here being that your first shot will go high, and your second shot will go low, meaning it must be blocked in the opposite manner of Cover Fire Low. Use both Cover Fire High and Low to mix up your opponent when you can!
Triple Slice
(
+
,
,
) / 6 + S, S, S
Triple Slice is a forward attack that combos into itself, up to three times. At close range, you'll sideswap! You don't have to do all three hits if you don't want to, especially if they are blocked. Triple Slice is useful primarily as a combo tool, and will serve you well if you focus on canceling into it from other moves! The first two hits of this move act as Jason's assist!
Air Blaster Shot
(while airborne) (
) / S
Another projectile, this time in the air! Jason fires a straight shot, and while it won't hit your opponents on the ground, it will hit them if they are airborne like you are. Use this as an air-to-air!
Triple Threat
(
+
) / L + S
Jason's EX Special move is a large combo tool that sees him lashing out with a sword strike. While it's not necessarily gimmicky when used on its own, it's excellent when canceled into, doing good damage and leaving the opponent in a stunned state for you to continue your combo into for a ton of damage. This move will cost one bar of your Super Meter.
Tyranno Charge
(
+
) / H + S
Jason's super functions as a combo ender, and is also just an outright powerful move with some invincibility frames! Use this at the end of a combo for massive damage, or to power through an enemy attack! This move will cost two bars of your Super Meter.
Arcade Mode
When it comes to beating the CPU, mindless aggression seems to work just fine! Frankly, all of Jason's special moves are good to spam. If you want to win Arcade quickly, spam Triple Slice to do damage quickly. Want to play it safe instead? Spam either Titanus Counter or Back Roll with either of its follow-ups, and you'll be right as rain! The CPU won't be able to lay a finger on you!Whatever moves you spam, beating the final boss will earn this trophy. What a wonderfully easy character to gimmick with!
A Change of Hart
Complete Arcade mode with Ranger Slayer
Story
Note: Arcade mode is easily beaten with a character you feel most comfortable using. You get three characters to select in the standard Arcade mode run. If the character(s) you feel best with aren't tied to this trophy, pick them as your second or third character! It's recommended to set the difficulty to Easy, as the CPU in this game is rather punishing!
In order to finish Arcade mode with RangerSlayer, she must be your point character, meaning she must be the first character you pick for your team, as opposed to just having her on the team.
Move Name
Move Input
Move Description
High Shot
(
+
) / 4 + L
An upward arched arrow shot that will hit a standing opponent at about a quarter of the screen away or closer; otherwise, its range will hit airborne opponents! This move is great for shutting down opponents who have a lot of air moves they like to constantly spam. This move can be enhanced by Arrow Nock! Slayer fires three arrows instead of one, and they deal chip damage! Be warned that each enhanced arrow itself does a little less damage than the single normal arrow. You'll gain very little from this move if you use it against a standing opponent, as, depending on your range, only the first arrow might hit!
Arrow Rain
(
+
) / 6 + M
Slayer shoots two arrows directly into the air, and about a half-second later, they land about a third of the screen and two-thirds of the screen away, falling from above the screen. This move is really good for adding pressure to your opponents' approach and making their lives harder, as they'll struggle to get close to you! This move can be enhanced by Arrow Nock! Slayer fires five arrows over a more spread-out area, including one just in front of her! The spread of these arrows is just outside of full-screen, meaning that if your opponent isn't full-screen away, one of these arrows will likely connect. And now they do chip damage on blocking!
Spartan Kick
(
+
) / 6 + H
A solid kick that knocks down your opponent and sends them about half a screen away! This move can be canceled into, and is useful for comboing into OTG moves!
Chin Breaker
(
+
) / 2 + H
Slayer's anti-air move! Along with being a reliable way to stop a jump-in attack in its tracks, this move will launch the opponent when it lands, enabling serious combo damage for Slayer if she jumps to follow her opponent and keep hitting them!
Arrow Nock
(
) / S
A close-hitting special that can be canceled into for a combo. There's nothing particularly special about the attack portion of the move in and of itself, but on hit, block, or even whiff, this move will grant a buff to Ranger Slayer, giving all of her medium attacks the properties of a special move. As a result, all of Ranger Slayer's medium normals are projectiles, making this extremely valuable! With this buff, Slayer's medium moves will now do increased damage, deal chip damage on block, and will have more projectiles fired! But medium attacks aren't the only thing buffed! While Slayer's special moves already have the properties of a special move, special moves that use arrows are enhanced, with more arrows fired for increased damage! This is a fantastic move to use, be it in a combo or just for fun to get the buff, but keep in mind that the buff isn't permanent! While it doesn't time out, the buff will be spent after you use an arrow attack, meaning you'll have to use this move again to re-obtain the buff for your next arrow-based attack.
Pterodactyl Escape
(
+
) / 4 + S
This move sees Slayer doing a backwards flip away from the opponent, along with two arrows fired for good measure! At point blank, this move takes Ranger Slayer a little over 3/4 of the screen away from her opponent, further away than that, you'll probably end up full-screen away! Couple that in with the arrows going full-screen, and you've got a tool that makes it easy for Slayer to get very far from her opponent to use her keepaway tools and projectile attacks. Why fight if you don't have to? Just run away and let the arrows do the work! This move can be enhanced with Arrow Nock! Instead of two arrows, Slayer fires five arrows!Ranger Slayer also does this move as her assist, firing a total of six arrows!
Pterodactyl Flight
(
+
) / 6 + S
A forward leap into the air for a ton of utility! If you're close enough to your opponent, this move will hit them, both standing or airborne, allowing you to start a combo with one of its follow-ups! If not, this move's follow-ups give you several options for several different ranges!
Spike Shot
(during Pterodactyl Flight) (
) / L
This move is a follow-up to Pterodactyl Flight. When Pterodactyl Flight takes you directly over your opponent, this is your best option, as this follow-up move sees Ranger Slayer fire an arrow directly below her to the floor, or her opponent's head! It doesn't do much damage, but it can keep the pressure on!This move can be enhanced with Arrow Nock! Instead of just one arrow, it fires five, and causes a ground bounce if it lands, giving you some combo potential with the right assist.
Advancing Shot
(during Pterodactyl Flight) (
) / M
This move is a follow-up to Pterodactyl Flight. From far away, using this move out of Pterodactyl Flight is your best option, as it fires two arrows full-screen towards your opponent for more projectile warfare! It's also a decent air-to-air given the range. This move can be enhanced with Arrow Nock! It's not much different in terms of hit properties, but five arrows will be fired at a wider spread, making it an even better zoning tool than before, and doubly so as an air-to-air.
Birds of Prey
(during Pterodactyl Flight) (
) / H
This move is a follow-up to Pterodactyl Flight.A flying kick. This move is best used either when Pterodactyl Flight lands directly, or as a divekick for a jump in attack! Either way, its primary use is a combo attack, and there's not much more you'd use it for. This move can be enhanced with Arrow Nock! Despite not actually being an arrow-based move, this kick goes further when enhanced, and when it hits, it does a wall bounce, leading to serious combo potential. It's all about the combos with this move!
Time Bomb
(during Pterodactyl Flight or while airborne) (
) / S
For this move, Slayer will leave a floating bomb in the air directly under where she jumped, which will explode after just over a second. This move is meant to act as a trap, making it harder for opponents to approach you through your wall of arrows because there's aTime Bombin the way. This move is also a follow-up toPterodactyl Flight. This move can be enhanced with Arrow Nock! Instead of one bomb, Slayer will leave two, the second bomb being a bit below the first! Just as the enhancement doubles the number of bombs, it makes this move doubly useful, as it makes it even harder for enemies to approach!
Pterotumble Attack
(
+
) / L + S
An invincible reversal. Slayer does a low slide kick, and if it lands, she'll do some quick follow-up attacks for damage and send the opponent about half-screen away for a knockdown. If you're close to the corner, the opponent will side swap, so this move is generally always useful for changing your positioning! This move costs one bar of your Super Meter.
Pterodactyl Assault
(
+
) / H + S
Slayer will do a flashy kick that goes just under full-screen, and if it hits, she'll do massive damage! This move is more than just a cutscene for damage, as it sends your opponent full-screen no matter where you are. This is great for Ranger Slayer, who excels from far away with her arrows! Whether or not you cancel into it from a normal move or use it as a panic super, this move is great to get you back to zoning! This move costs two bars of your Super Meter.
Arcade Mode
The CPU is going to want to get close and beat you up, but RangerSlayer is an expert at staying far away and shooting! Alternate between ( 5 +
) / M and Pterodactyl Escape, using the latter when your opponents are getting close. If your opponent gets point blank, use (
+
) to grab and throw them, giving you a chance to run back away and continue zoning!Once you defeat the boss of Arcade Mode, you'll have this trophy.

Story
Note: Arcade mode is easily beaten with a character you feel most comfortable using. You get three characters to select in the standard Arcade mode run. If the character(s) you feel best with aren't tied to this trophy, pick them as your second or third character! It's recommended to set the difficulty to Easy, as the CPU in this game is rather punishing!

Move Name
Move Input
Move Description
Galactic Kick
(
+
) / 4 + M
A powerful kick that leaves opponents in a staggered state for follow-up attacks. It can't be canceled into unfortunately, but if you have the chance to use it in a combo, you'll be able to extend it quite a bit! Keep in mind that on the second use in a combo, this move will cause a hard knockdown. This move is useful, but it's also pretty slow, so it's not great outside of combos!
Moon Splitter
(
+
) / 4 + H
Magna launches himself forward about half-screen distance with an overhead sword slash! Causes a ground bounce on hit for combo extensions. It can't be canceled into, but you can absolutely use this to close the gap between you and your opponent and pressure them!
Defending Cut
(
+
) / 2 + H
Anti-air and launcher! You can use this on both jumping and grounded opponents, and you'll send them into the air for an air combo! This move can be canceled into as well, making it work well as both a combo starter and a combo extender!
Magna Blaster
(
) / S
A projectile attack that works pretty fast. While the startup itself isn't very quick, the projectile is a gun blast, and it works at about the same speed! This move doesn't go full-screen, but it goes pretty close, nullifying projectiles and helping you get close to your opponent. This is also Magna's assist attack. This can hit OTG in certain situations!
Avenger
(
+
) / 4 + S
Magna's parry attack! Magna will glow blue briefly and lean in to parry, and if an enemy hits him during this state, he will grab them and flip them over, side-swapping with a ground bounce for a combo starter! You can cancel into this move, but you really shouldn't, as it won't do anything if your opponent isn't attacking into it!Keep in mind that you can still be grabbed out of this parry.
Hot Steel
(
+
) / 6 + S
A forward lunge that sees Magna running forward full-screen to hit his opponent with a large sword slash. This move can be useful for closing the distance gap between you and a faraway opponent, even in combos!
Energy Chop
(while airborne) (
) / S
A spinning blade attack! While in the air, Magna will briefly become a whirlwind of pain and hurt, spinning in a circle with his sword. He'll go up and forward in an arc before descending with fury on anyone unfortunate enough to be beneath him! You can use this as an air attack in pretty much any context, but it's best as a combo tool!
Zika's Revenge
(
+
) / L + S
Magna's invincible reversal. He'll hit his opponent with a few powerful sword slices, then toss them close behind him for a side swap and ground bounce. This move is good for combo extensions and for powering through your opponent's attacks! This move will cost one bar of your Super Meter.
Galactic Mega Blaster
(
+
) / H + S
Magna pulls his gun out and fires fourteen shots directly forward! Does excellent damage and is useful as a combo finisher. This move will cost two bars of your Super Meter.
Arcade Mode
Against the CPU, certain gimmicks just don't seem to work! Magna's projectile, Magna Blaster, doesn't just magically defeat the CPU like you'd hope, and trying to parry with Avenger will only get you grabbed! But of all things, spamming Hot Steel on loop wins the day. For some reason, the CPU can't handle this move and will get endlessly hit by it over and over until death!Once you've used Hot Steel for the 1,000th time and beaten the boss, you'll earn this trophy. Another Arcade Mode run-down!
Only the Strong
Complete Arcade mode with Goldar
Story
Note: Arcade mode is easily beaten with a character you feel most comfortable using. You get three characters to select in the standard Arcade mode run. If the character(s) you feel best with aren't tied to this trophy, pick them as your second or third character! It's recommended to set the difficulty to Easy, as the CPU in this game is rather punishing!
In order to finish Arcade mode with Goldar, he must be your point character, meaning he must be the first character you pick for your team, as opposed to just having him on the team.
Move Name
Move Input
Move Description
Backfist Blow
(
+
) / 4 + M
A launcher that enables air-combos. It can't be chained into, but it works decently well as a combo starter or extension.
Sword Slam
(
+
) / 6+ M
Goldar's overhead! This can't be canceled into, but it can be used up close for pressure and potential mix-ups. It's an excellent combo extension tool, as well as it hits OTG!
Mighty Gust
(
+
) / 4 + H
A projectile reflection move in the form of a huge gust of wind! Use this on your enemies' projectiles to send them back where they came from! Just don't use this unless you're far away, as it's easily punishable up close. This move travels about 3/4 of the screen.
Goldar Geyser
(
) / S
Goldar stabs the ground and makes a geyser appear about a third of the screen away from him. Acts as a launcher and an OTG, making it useful in combos!
Goldar Geyser Extension
(
,
) / S, S
Hitting the special button twice before Goldar Geyser comes out will change where the geyser appears; instead of roughly a third of the screen away, it'll appear two-thirds of the screen away!
Giant Leap
(
+
) / 4 + S
An anti-air grab! This move is great for getting jumping opponents, as it cannot be blocked! It causes a wall bounce and can function as both a combo starter against an airborne opponent or a combo extension on an opponent sent into the air!
Goldar Tackle
(
+
) / 6 + S
An armored charge move that travels about 3/4 of the screen in distance. This move lets you go right through projectiles, getting in close to opponents who want to stay away and play the projectile game! It also causes a stagger on hit for combo potential! This is also Goldar's assist, meaning you can potentially have a way to armor through projectiles with anyone if Goldar is on your team!
Giant Swoop
(while airborne) (
) / S
Goldar swoops about half-screen forward and then does a huge ground stomp! This move isn't great on its own, but you can cancel it into your air normals, effectively giving them the momentum and movement of the special!
Foul Gust
(
+
) / L + S
Goldar's invincible reversal. This move reflects projectiles as Goldar does a huge gust of wind, followed by a shoulder tackle for a hard knockdown. It's good for combos as you're left close to your opponent, and can use an OTG move! This move will cost one bar of your Super Meter.
Dive Bomber
(
+
) / H + S
Goldar flies high into the sky, crashing down at an angle onto his opponent for massive damage! You can do this in combos, or use it to whiff-punish your opponents at about half-screen distance. This move will cost two bars of your Super Meter.
Arcade Mode
Goldar Tackle is one of the most effective gimmicks in the game against the CPU, and the one move you'll want to use over and over again! Its armor seems to confuse the CPU; it knows not to attack as it won't win, but it wants to advance, so it just sort of walks into it. If the CPU has a move that can win against it (probably something that also has armor), then it will use it... occasionally. If you land this even once, the moves the CPU would want to counter with will probably be too slow to beat you, as you'll recover faster than them and be able to attack again! Every so often, the CPU will grab you out of this move, but it doesn't seem to do it more than once a match, if that...All in all, just spam Goldar Tackle! Once you finish off the final boss, the trophy is yours!
Destroyer of Worlds

Move Name
Move Input
Move Description
Cross Cut
(
+
) / 2 + H
Drakkon's anti-air and launcher! You can cancel into this to extend your combos into air combos, and generally make it harder for your opponent to jump in on you!
Dragon Wave
(
) / S
A two-hit projectile that goes full-screen! It's not very fast and probably won't win the zoning war, but it's useful nonetheless! It also has a close-up hit that knocks your opponent into the air for an assist to catch!
Surging Kick
(
+
) / 4 + S
Drakkon does a kick that sends him flying vertically, knocking your opponent into the air with him. While it doesn't recover fast enough to an air combo on hitting a grounded opponent, you can combo into a crouching (
) / L attack on hit to extend the combo! This move is also an excellent anti-air, as it cannot be blocked by airborne opponents!Drakkon's anti-air special is also his assist, aiding in defense and combo extensions!
Drakkon Dash
(
+
) / 6 + S
A forward dash teleport move. This can bring you up to your opponents or right through them, as well as go through assists and projectiles. There are four follow-up moves you can do to mix up your opponents or extend combos.
Dash Feint
(during Drakkon Dash) (
) / L
This move is a follow-up forDrakkon Dash.If you want to confuse your opponent or bait out a move from far away, use this move during Drakkon Dash to stop it in its tracks, only going a partial distance based on when you pressed (
) / L.
Slide
(during Dragon Dash) (
) / M
This move is a follow-up forDrakkon Dash.A low-hitting move out of Drakkon Dash! Use this to quickly approach and land a low attack. This can be done to quickly strike down an approaching opponent or to extend a combo. It even hits OTG!
Wrath
(during Dragon Dash) (
) / H
This move is a follow-up forDrakkon Dash.Drakkon will do a big sword slash for a knockdown against grounded opponents and a launcher against airborne opponents. This isn't an overhead like it looks, so you unfortunately can't use this to mix up your opponent with Slide, but it's still useful for attacking and combos.
Teleport
(during Dragon Dash) (
) / S
This move is a follow-up forDrakkon Dash.If none of your grounded follow-ups are working, try teleporting above your opponent! You can use this to get an unexpected jump-in on your opponent, or mix them up if they keep counter-attacking your grounded follow-ups, potentially getting you a punish into a full combo.
Ruthless Spike
(while airborne) (
) / S
Drakkon does a stomp attack right beneath him! This move somehow doesn't hit overhead, but it hits OTG, making it a great move to extend combos! It can also be useful for applying pressure to your opponent.
Crescent Cutter Combination
(
+
) / L + S
Standard invincible reversal. Drakkon does a series of kicks and then his projectile, leaving the opponent on the ground for a combo into super. Sideswaps in the corner. This move will cost one bar of your Super Meter.
Tide of Darkness
(
+
) / H + S
Drakkon summons a giant projectile that knocks down. It doesn't do a ton of damage, but it will certainly win you the zoning war! This move will cost two bars of your Super Meter.
Arcade Mode
LordDrakkon is another easy Arcade clear thanks to his Drakkon Dash and Wrath follow-up! Use this over and over again, and you'll get a hard knockdown on the opponent, and as they're getting up, is the perfect time to start the move again! This is somewhat slow, but it'll get you to victory pretty safely! If a character gets too close, you might dash through them, so either press (
+
) / M + H to grab them, or hit them with a (
) / L attack to start a combo!Of course, if you do want more speed, you could use the Slide follow-up instead, but this is more likely to get you attacked by assists! No matter what follow-up you use, once you dash gimmick your way to beating the final boss, you'll have finished off another Arcade Mode run!
Cat Got Your tongue?

Move Name
Move Input
Move Description
Sky High
(
+
) / 4 + M
Kat's anti-air and launcher! Annoyingly, this can't be canceled into from her normals, but it's still an excellent move to start an air combo with! Air unblockable as well!
Kat Scratch
(
,
,
) / S, S, S
Kat's combo rekka! Cancel into this special from your normals for combo damage! You can press the button up to three times for an attack, which will always combo from the last. This is also Kat's assist.
Backflip
(
+
) / 4 + S
This move sends Kat backwards about half-screen, and has some invincibility to avoid strikes with, making it a good evasive tool.
Cunning Charge
(during Backflip) (
) / S
This move is a follow-up forBackflip. After flipping away, you can press the special button again to lurch Kat forward with another claw slash! This will put grounded opponents in a brief stagger for combos, and is great for whiff-punishing after an evade! If you're fast, you can use this mid-combo, as it resets your opponent for extra combo potential!
Catwheel
(
+
) / 6 + S
Kat does a forward cartwheel just over half-screen. This move will whiff if you're too close to your opponent! But it will also go through projectiles with the right timing, making it a great tool for getting in close to your opponent. It also hits OTG for a ground bounce, making it an excellent combo extension.
Kat Dive
(while airborne) (
) / S
Everyone loves a divekick! You can use this move at any point in your jump arc, making it an excellent move for Kat's mobility. You can combo from it if you hit a grounded opponent low, and it also hits OTG with a ground bounce, making it useful as a combo extension!
Kat Frenzy
(
+
) / L + S
Kat's invincible reversal. She does a cartwheel and some slashes for a knockdown. The cartwheel goes about half-screen, this time not whiffing at close distances, and the knockdown will send your opponent half-screen as well. This move will cost one bar of your Super Meter.
Kat Stunners
(
+
) / H + S
Kat jumps in the air and unleashes a flurry of fiery projectiles at a downward angle towards the ground. This is more effective the closer you are to your opponent! Distance-wise, you'll reach about 3/4 of the screen, so it isn't useful for full range zoning wars, but it's good for combos! This move really isn't phenomenal if you're using it outside of a combo or a whiff punish where you know you're going to land it, but if your opponent is really low on health, it does pretty good chip damage if they block it!This move will cost two bars of your Super Meter.
Arcade Mode
Like many characters with similar specials, Kat's neutral special, Kat Scratch, performed with (
) / S, is the best thing to use against the CPU when playing with her against them. They just can't handle it! You will hit them again, and again, and again until they drop, and they will never do a dang thing about it!Do this until you finish the boss off, and the trophy is yours!
Mastodon-One

Move Name

Move Description
Fore!
(
+
) / 4 + M
Mastodon's anti-air and launcher! It can't be blocked by airborne opponents. This move launches for air combo starters and extensions. Can't be canceled into.
Triple Shot
(
,
,
) / S, S, S
Mastodon fires up to three straight shots depending on how many times you press the button! The first two shots are a combo, as for the third, Mastodon rolls backwards to make more distance between him and his opponents, then fires. You're vulnerable during this roll, but you're also low profile, meaning you'll avoid high attacks! For Mastodon's assist, he fires a straight shot just like this, as well as a downward low shot and an air shot.
Triple Shot Ex
(after Triple Shot) (
+
) / L + S
This move is a follow-up toTriple Shot.Any of the three shots fired in Triple Shot can be canceled into this! It's just another gunshot, but it does pretty good damage! It was always a combo, so long as the shot it was canceled from wasn't blocked!
Sky Torch
(
+
) / 4 + S
Mastodon steps back and fires into the air! Decent as an anti-air, not much else. For Mastodon's assist, he fires a shot just like this, as well as a downward low shot and a straight shot.
Land Mine
(
+
) / 6 + S
Mastodon tosses a land mine about a quarter of the screen in front of him. It blows up when an opponent touches it, or after about three seconds pass. If you throw another landmine, your currently deployed landmine will blow! This move also hits OTG.
Land Mine Extension
(
+
) / 6 + S (hold
/ S)
Same as Land Mine, but goes about 3/4 of the screen! Has a slightly longer startup as you have to hold the button.
Sky Shot
(while airborne) (
) / S
From the air, Mastodon fires a downwards angled shot to hit grounded opponents! This is good for evasive maneuvers, as you can jump away and fire, and is also good for dealing with projectile spam from opponents, and you can jump over their projectiles and use your own!
Sentry Tackle
(
+
) / L + S
Mastodon's invincible reversal. Standard stuff, he hits the opponent with a shoulder tackle for decent damage and does a knockdown, sending them about 3/4 of the screen.
Sentry Squad
(
+
) / H + S
Mastodon's super is actually a parry! If your opponent gets too close for comfort with their offense, bust out this move! If they hit you, you'll deal a ton of damage. If they don't, you'll have wasted your meter, so try to use this reactively!
Arcade Mode
Black Mastodon Sentry is interesting for Arcade Mode gimmicks against the CPU, because the best way to win with him is actually just slight set-play in your zoning. It's easy to just use Triple Shot until your opponents stop moving, preferably only the first two shots of it for efficiency, but they'll always try to work their way in! How do you stop that? Land Mine does the trick! At the start of the match, toss a mine down and then start shooting. When it goes off, toss another down and repeat. The CPU will have a really hard time even trying to approach, as the mine seems to compel them to stay away and just get shot at!Once you've put enough bullet holes in the final boss to drop him dead, the trophy will be yours! Congrats on another Arcade Mode finish!

This trophy will be a hefty grind, but it doesn't matter if you win or lose, so you don't have to worry too much for this one! Note that while the trophy description says "online", only ranked and casual matches actually count towards this trophy! Playing in lobbies and private rooms won't do zip, apologies to the tournament players! You'll earn this trophy at the same time as
Protect This World Together, and you don't technically have to play any other modes besides ranked for this trophy! If you already have 500 wins for
Go Go Power Rangers! and reached
Master rank, then you might find it boring to just continuously play matches without any stakes until you reach 1000.In that case, there is an A.F.C. (Away From Controller) Method that you can use to just progress through matches as quickly as possible, which involves a 'Turbo Controller'. Using a Turbo Controller, you can set a button to be repeatedly pressed without requiring the player to manually press the button rapidly. The best turbo controller to buy is a Hori controller, as they are the best brand for a turbo controller. There are other options for Turbo Controllers that you could find online, but it may be difficult to find an exact brand for Turbo controllers.
Controller/Price
Description
HORI HoriPad FPS Plus - (PS4) PlayStation 4 & (PS3) PlayStation 3Price = $54.90 USD
This specific controller can be used on both PS4 and PS3. Although the controllers are more aligned with an Xbox Controller design, the functionality offers more than an average controller. The Turbo Mode can be used on buttons, triggers, and the D-Pad, including the speed at which a button is pressed. With the Turbo Mode, there is also custom button mapping if you would like to change the controls. Additionally, the sensitivity of the joysticks can also be adjusted based on your preference. It's also just a good controller in general!Credit to HORI for the Controller Picture
If you don't like that one, there are other options! Different controllers have different advantages, and if you're going to buy a turbo controller, buy the one that's best for you long term, be it for fighting game excellence or for a cheap way to grind!
Controller/Price
Description
7 AND Wireless Controller - (PS4) PlayStation 4 & PCPrice = $24.76 USD (Goes on sale often!)
If you're looking for something cheaper than the HORI, look no further than the 7 AND brand pad! This controller is... cheap. Not much more to say! It's probably the cheapest and lowest quality option you could get and still have turbo functionality, so if you're looking for something to just grind trophies with for your games, this is probably the best option. Credit to 7 AND for the picture.
Haute42 Leverless Controller - (PS4) Playstation 4, (PS3) Playstation 3, & PCPrice = $60-120 USD (Depending on the controller you choose.)
If you're passionate about fighting games and want something to really go have more customization with, Haute42 has a ton of different leverless controllers that offer turbo functionality, as well as several other functions (and a whole lot of buttons!) you can use to help get better at fighting games. You can remap any button to anything, have multiple inputs of one button, and even have different control schemes for different games with different profiles. You can also personalize these controllers and install your own art.The disadvantage of this controller is the price, especially if you're just buying it for this one trophy. This controller is excellent for someone who really wants to get into fighting games as a genre, but if you're just in it for the trophies, this isn't the best choice. You'll also need to have either an adapter or PS4 passthrough keys to actually use this thing on your PS4!If you're a fighting game fanatic, this is probably the cheapest way to try leverless!Credit to Haute42 for the picture.
You don't actually need to purchase a new controller at all if you're satisfied with the one you have; you could buy a controller accessory! A DRILI back button with turbo functionality is all you need! It's cheap and gets the job done, and can also potentially be helpful in other games, especially shooters, for which the controller accessory was made. The downside to this type of item is that it will probably be outlasted by the controller you attach it to, but it'll last long enough given the price...Credit to DRILI for the picture.
Arcade Mode
Now that you've got yourself some turbo functionality, here are some characters that are good for using on point with this strategy:
Gia Morgan
KatManx
Black Mastodon Sentry
Quantum Ranger
The best character to use by far is Quantum Ranger, but if you don't own him, Black Mastodon Sentry is a good second choice! In case you run into someone who is actually trying to beat you, Gia Morgan and KatManx have neutral specials that do decent damage and move them forward for damage, making them decent choices as well, especially after your opponents are defeated!

You will naturally come across this trophy while playing Ranked, specifically the placement matches against the CPU to determine what League to place you under. Before you fight against real players, you will have three separate Battles against the CPU, and winning against one of those three fights will pop the trophy. The best chance to win against the CPU fights early on is to use a character with long-range attacks, such as Black Mastodon Sentry. For further context about the best means to obtain this trophy, along with possible boosting methods available, please refer to

This specific trophy is one of the hardest trophies to achieve, due to the number of wins you need in Ranked mode. While you are aiming to unlock this trophy via "Ranked" mode, you will also earn progression
Rangers Forever, as it will also count as an "Online Match". Ideally, you will also be aiming for
Master or one of the other League-related trophies while attempting to win these matches. This game still has a fair number of active users playing after the last piece of content was released in December 2021, so there will be a couple of matches where you will queue up with a random player every so often. For specific methods on how to improve your overall skill and increase your chances of winning against other players, it's recommended to read through the Tips and Strategies section for a detailed breakdown. As for potential boosting methods, this trophy can be boosted and can be completed by prioritizing both the League Rank and the time of day when you search for a match. For the available boosting methods, please refer to
Morphenomenal for more information. Additionally, you will want to trade wins with either the alternate account or the person you're boosting with, as increasing your rank too high will decrease the chances of you matching with that same player.
Important Information:
The best time to play the game with the least amount of players is around 3 AM (Eastern Standard Time/UTC -5). Since the player base has decreased over the years, there are not as many players as there once were, especially players active at 3 AM.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is region-locked, meaning you can only connect with other players who are also in your region.
The higher your League Rank, the longer the wait time will be when queuing for each match, due to the game attempting to match you with players in similar or higher League Ranks.

The Player Level is the combined total of all characters' levels. Every playable character can be leveled up, and by reaching specific Player Level milestones, you'll be rewarded with a Banner you can equip on your Profile. For this trophy to pop, you need to have the total level of all characters combined to equal 700. This trophy, in particular, is one of the longest grinds in the game due to how many levels you will need. With every level for a single character, it will require more XP to level them up, which will be clear around the Level 30 range for a character. Due to the Base Game having 12 Playable characters, you would need to get each character to Level 58. However, with the significant increase in XP required after reaching Level 30, it will take a ludicrous amount of time to reach that Level on each character. Therefore, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to buy the Season Passes for DLC characters, as it will drastically reduce the grind for Player Levels. If you purchase the Season Passes, you will unlock 14 additional characters and increase your roster to 26 Characters, making the minimum level for each character to pop the trophy be Level 27.Since you can choose three characters to bring with you in battle, all of the characters on the team will earn the same amount of XP. The most amount of XP you can earn is by winning a game in an online match, preferably, the Ranked mode, to earn progression towards other trophies. You can check the level of each character by selecting "Ranked" and moving the cursor over the desired character to see their level on the left side of the screen. Once you have reached a set level for a character, you can keep leveling them up even further, but the required XP after 30 becomes a hurdle. You will have to consistently use different characters to make any substantial progress towards the trophy; otherwise, it will be an obscene amount of grinding.
Best XP Methods for Character Levels
As you are aiming for
Go Go Power Rangers!, you should have a fair number of characters leveled up around the halfway point. If you wanted to prioritize character levels, more than ranked wins, then you could self-boost or boost with another player in Online Match by doing one of the following:
Assisted-Boosting Method
Requirements:
Two Players
One PS4/PS5 Console per Player
One PlayStation Account per Player
One Digital/Physical Copy of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid per Player
How to perform this boosting method:
Step 1: Both players will log into their accounts and launch Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid.
Step 2: Once on the game's Main Menu, head to the "Settings" tab in the game and have both players Turn Off "Cross-Play". Turning Cross-Play off will allow you to have a better chance of finding the other player.
Step 3: Both Players will head to "Online" from the Main Menu and select "Casual". Once you have formed the first three members of your team for both accounts, select your desired "Megazord" simultaneously to search for a match at the same time. If you are unable to match with each other and connect to a different player, stop the search on the player who's not in a match yet, and try to search again after the other player's match ends.
Step 4: Once you have successfully matched with each other, beat the other player until you win the match, as winning will grant you the most amount of XP. After the match ends, select "Search for New Match" simultaneously and keep repeating matches with your team until you reach the desired level.
Solo-Boosting Method
Requirements:
Step 1: Turn on the first PS5/PS4 console, log in to your Primary Account (the account earning the trophy), and launch Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid from the Home Screen.
Step 2: Turn on the second PS5/PS4 console, log in to your Primary Account, and head to the Settings tab on the top right of the PS5/PS4 Home Screen.
Step 3: Head to "Users and Accounts", hover over "Other", and then select "Console Sharing and Offline Play". From there, you want to select "Enable", which will allow other accounts tied to this specific console to play any online games the Primary Account owns. If you do not see Enable and the only options present are Don't Disable or Disable, this means you already have Console Sharing enabled. (This will not log you out on the first PS5 Console).
Step 4: Once you have Console Sharing enabled, log out of the Primary Account on the second PS5 Console and switch to be logged in as your Alternate PS5 Account, then launch Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid.
Step 5: Once both consoles have launched into the game as separate users, head to the "Settings" tab in the game and Turn Off "Cross-Play" on both consoles. Turning Cross-Play off will allow you to have a better chance of connecting your primary account with your alternate account in a match.
Step 6: Both accounts will head to "Online" and select "Casual". Once you have formed the first three members of your team for both accounts, select your desired "Megazord" simultaneously on both accounts to search for a match at the same time. If you are unable to match with the account and connect to a different player, stop the search on the account whose not in a match yet, and try to search again.
Step 7: Once you have successfully matched with your alternate account, beat the alternate account until you win the match, as winning will grant you the most amount of XP. After the match ends, select "Search for New Match" on both accounts simultaneously and keep repeating matches with your team until you reach the desired level.

This game uses a Medal System to rank you up in Ranked Matches, and you'll need ~121 medals to reach Master for the first time. This is the highest rank in the game, so expect your opponents to be powerful! The medal system is something of an enigma to players, as you don't get a medal for every win, nor do you lose a medal for every loss, but... It's close. A win adds to your medal meter, a loss takes away from it, and when the meter fills up completely or empties out, you lose or gain a medal. You can think of medals like a ranked system in themselves, seeing as after Master League, they determine your placement in the leaderboards. Furthermore, if you get enough medals to reach a rank, you won't necessarily lose it if you lose medals afterwards.

This might seem like a lot to keep track of, but frankly, you don't need to keep track of anything after your placement matches! Fight to win 121 medals!Getting to Master League is a difficult grind that requires a lot of wins and matches in general, and there are things you should keep in mind:
When searching for ranked matches, the game will try to match you with whoever is available, starting with whoever is closest to your medal count. You cannot match with anyone whose medal count is not within 60 medals of your own!
You can decide whether or not you play against exclusively PS4 players or against players on other systems. You can theoretically make things easier for yourself if you pay attention to who is winning and losing against you; that is, if you find that someone who keeps beating you is on a different system, you could theoretically turn off crossplay to avoid them. Cheap? Yes. But it's good for those who are more interested in trophies than improvement!
For those who love improvement, it is highly recommended that you learn a combo that does 950-1000 damage or more. The average character in this game has 1000 health, and some have health as low as 900, so factoring in the stray hit for some chip damage, these larger combos are extremely valuable in the long run! Once you get far enough in the rankings to deal with Elite League and Master League opponents, you're going to be dealing with these full-health combos, known as TOD (Touch of Death) combos, a lot, so fight fire with fire and learn some!
There's no one specific means to reach Master League, and every character is viable, so use who you feel best with! Additionally, some of the Top Players in Battle For the Grid Tournaments use characters who are NOT paid DLC, and no additional purchases are required to beat this game, so don't worry about spending extra money to get different characters. No ONE character will carry you to victory; it only depends on your commitment to learning a character and mastering them! But you should be using every gimmick you can. If you find your opponent doesn't know how to deal with something, use it until they learn!
Regarding Boosting in Ranked Mode
As a final note, it is technically possible to boost Ranked, but it is not recommended! If you were to boost, you would ultimately want to use the same boosting strategies shown in
Morphenomenal, except with Ranked Mode instead of Casual. The problems with doing this are plentiful, as first of all, if a player suspects what you are doing and you're reported, you risk a potential ban, meaning you'll never be able to finish the trophy set! The other problem with this strategy is that the secondary account you boost with will need to have up to 60 medals to get your main account to Master League (121+ medals), as there's no way to match with an account in ranked with a difference of over 60 medals from yours. All in all, don't boost unless you're absolutely desperate or willing to risk the ban. Additionally, keep in mind that there is no way to guarantee that you match with your boosting partner/alternate account instead of someone who wants to put the hurt on you.
