With August coming to a close, a new rotation of monthly games is in store for September! Outside of the monthly rotation of games, players can also look forward to a mountain of games releasing this month through the "Hunter's Cabin Gaming Calendar".

Another month means another new selection of monthly PlayStation Plus games to choose from. This month's roster includes some fairly new titles: one from 2022, two from 2025, and one from 2026. The listings of these games directly come from the official PlayStation.Blog, with the release of these monthly games lasting from September 1st to October 5th. For all information regarding the Story, Estimated Completion Time, DLCs, and the Cost of each title, please use this article to help inform your decision about which titles to spend your time playing.
Chained Echoes | PS4

Chained Echoes was released on December 8, 2022, developed by Umami Tiger (Matthias Linda) and published by Deck13 Interactive. This game is a turn-based RPG, with a pixel art style and set in a world with mech suits and dragons. The base price for this title outside of PlayStation Plus Rotation, with no discounts applied, sits at $24.99 USD.
The Plot
War has broken out among three kingdoms and has affected the entirety of the continent of Valandis. A group of heroes answers the call to put an end to this everlasting war and must travel throughout Valandis to bring peace to civilizations affected by the war. Your party must face off against fearsome monsters and powerful enemies, but will that be enough to secure a safer tomorrow? Only the heroes can determine what future they will have in store.

Sniper Elite: Resistance was released on January 30, 2025, developed and published by Rebellion. This title is the sixth entry in the "Sniper Elite" franchise and is a third-person shooter with an emphasis on both stealth and tactical sniping gameplay. The base price for this title outside of PlayStation Plus Rotation, with no discounts applied, sits at $59.99 USD.
The Plot
This story follows Harry Hawker, an agent as part of the Special Operations Executive, and their mission to prevent the Nazis from achieving insurmountable power. You will need to work your way through enemy territory and eliminate the major players involved in the Reich to put a stop to their research before they pursue control through any means necessary.

Sniper Elite: Resistance has a total of 71 Trophies (54 Trophies for the Base Game + 17 Trophies for DLCs) and will take roughly 25 Hours to acheive 100% Trophy Completion.

As of writing, Sniper Elite: Resistance has a total of 4 DLC Trophy Lists, with the other DLCs being directly tied to cosmetic elements like 'Skin Packs' and 'Weapons'. For those seperate DLC trophy lists, you will need to either purchase the associated DLC or purchase the 'Season Pass' to gain access to all the DLC content. Wobbly Life was released on September 18, 2025, developed and published by RubberBandGames. This title is a third-person open-world sandbox with fun ragdoll physics and an engaging story about getting a job. The base price for this title outside of PlayStation Plus Rotation, with no discounts applied, sits at $24.99 USD.
The Plot
Your character has spent the majority of their life inside their home, playing video games and just lying around. One day, Grandma had enough of watching you waste away and kicked you out of the house, demanding to find yourself a job. Now, you must explore the wide Wobbly world and make a living to find your own home eventually. Additionally, this title offers online co-op, meaning more opportunities for fun with friends.

DLC
This game has no microtransactions, but it does have expansions that they have released over several months, with each Update. As of writing, there are currently five DLC trophy lists that are accessible to all players as free updates. Each of the trophy lists provides new jobs and environments players can find in the Wobbly World.
MLB® The Show™ 26 | PS5

MLB® The Show™ 26 was released on March 17, 2026, developed by San Diego Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This title is the twenty-first entry in the "MLB: The Show" franchise and is a baseball game with the ability to create your own player and draft your own team to challenge the big leagues. The base price for this title outside of PlayStation Plus Rotation, with no discounts applied, sits at $49.99 USD.
The Plot
Since this title is entirely related to Baseball, there are two modes that players are able to interact with. The story mode, also known as 'Road to the Show', will have players create their own baseball player and work their way through the leagues to become the best player. The other mode, 'Franchise' mode, is for players who like to act as the General Manager and control custom seasons with their teams. For major fans of Baseball, this entry does provide some decent improvements from last year's entry.

MLB® The Show™ 26 has a total of 26 Trophies and will take roughly 20-20 Hours to achieve 100% Trophy Completion.
DLC
This game does not contain any required DLC for earning trophies. The microtransactions in the game revolve around its own digital currency called "Stubs" and Card Packs available to purchase.
List of Upcoming Titles in September
Outside of the PlayStation Plus Monthly Rotation Games, there are numerous new titles releasing this month that players should be on the lookout for.
