Here's the latest...

Phase 1 - Early Beginnings
The First Session - May 18th, 2015
The very first concept of The Hunter's Cabin can be traced all the way back to May 2015, when it was nothing but a couple of players gathering together to help with a single trophy. It all started with a simple boosting session for the game known as "Battlefield: Hardline", which had been released two months ago around this time for the PlayStation 4 (PS4). The trophy in question was called
Test Your Mettle and required players to complete a total of 25 Competitive Matches. In need of additional players to assist with the trophy, a play session was created to recruit as many players as necessary to make the lobby. Within a few hours, 30-40 players had joined the session, all of whom were willing to help each other out with earning this singular trophy! Despite meeting as complete strangers online, they all came together for this session to ensure that everyone earned this trophy. During the session, the players involved were getting along, learning they all had a passion for trophy hunting and were willing to assist each other even further by helping them in other games they shared in common. In order to keep in contact with the players involved from the session to help with more sessions in the future, a group chat was created to reach out to those players in the future. This group chat would serve as the very first iteration of a "Hunter's Cabin", starting as a simple group chat full of passionate trophy hunters looking to help others in achieving their goals.
The Birth of the Server - June 18th, 2015
About one month after the creation of the trophy hunting group chat, there was constant activity, with multiple ongoing party chats occurring full of players. Although only 25-30 members were within this chat, these users were constantly active and going out of their way to answer anyone in this group chat who asked for help with a video game title they also owned. Around this time, another new messaging platform was introduced called "Discord", which was nowhere near as popular as it would become in 2026. The only main methods people would have to communicate with each other during this time would be through their dedicated console messaging or using an older platform called "Skype". Skype was among the most popular messaging platforms, but would steadily decline over the years. With the expanding group chat and this new messaging platform aimed at gaming, a new server would be created for trophy hunting, calling themselves "The Cabin". The creation of the server would also be the 1st Discord server to primarily revolve around PlayStation trophy hunting. Additionally, this new server would also introduce a dedicated logo to showcase it and attract new users interested in trophy hunting.

Phase 2 - The Discord Enhancement Era
The Xbox Side is Born - June 19th, 2019
The Cabin would reach its fourth anniversary and has created hundreds of boosting sessions to help fellow users with games they needed assistance with. While the server has helped numerous players, it mainly consisted of PlayStation users, with Xbox players not being able to take part in these sessions due to platform restrictions. Key features such as "Crossplay" were not commonly implemented in most video game titles until a couple of years later, making joint platform boosting challenging for the time being. Due to the large size of the Xbox Playbase and The Cabin being primarily a PlayStation trophy hunting server, a decision was made. The Cabin would branch their platform to create a server dedicated to Xbox, where achievement hunters would be able to have the same success in finding sessions as the original server.
The Hunter's Cabin 2.0 starts Development - March 2023
By this point in history, The Cabin has been around for nearly eight years and has grown far more than just a simple PSN group chat. While the server has been around for quite some time, it was craving something new, a rework of the current format to make it into something more sleek and advanced. This prior version of the server was simple, but had plenty of room for improvements to be made and plenty of ideas to be implemented. Despite the exact day being unknown, this would begin the birth of a new project, create and innovate on what made The Cabin successful to make an even more accessible platform.
The PC Side is Born - May 30, 2024
While Project 2.0 was being developed in the background, there were some more innovations made to expand the additional platforms. PlayStation and Xbox users made up the majority of their servers, but one of the most popular platforms had yet to have it's own dedicated section, which was the PC playerbase. For PC players, they had to access their games either through specific launchers or by using Steam, the largest platform for all PC-related gaming. As a result and due to popular demand, The Cabin branched its platform to create a new server purely dedicated to the PC Audience. Now, with the PC platform having its own server, nearly every platform that has its own trophy/achievement list has been accommodated, and access to other players with matching platforms has been made even easier.
The Hunter's Cabin 2.0 is Launched - November 25, 2024
After numerous months of planning and carefully developing features, The Hunter's Cabin is officially launched for all users. Unlike the prior server, the Cabin 2.0 server was filled with new features that weren't previously available:
New Channels: The Channels have been expanded upon by creating new categories with their own text channels, such as G.O.T.M. (Game of the Month), Monthly Events, News/Guides, and franchise-specific channels around popular IPs.
New Automatic Bots: With the release of Cabin 2.0, it also expanded upon custom Bots, like "MEE6" and giving them more customization to provide an improved leveling system, along with fun commands that can be used in dedicated channels.
New Roles: The new channels also came with a bonus of additional roles! Instead of having a long list of every channel, the user can choose what channels they would like access to based on the role they decided to choose.
With these additions, the relevance was key in providing substantial changes that act as a genuine improvement of the prior server, and not a change for change's sake.

Along with the Cabin 2.0 server came a new redesign for all of the prior server icons. The new design has an easy-to-recognize logo that can be easily distinguished from each other.
Phase 3 - The Hunter's Cabin Website Project
The Hunter's Cabin Website is Announced - December 27, 2025
The launch of the new Discord server was a big project at the time, which took several months to slowly migrate the contents of the original server to the new server. However, the next big project would scale far above the difficulties of rebooting a server. The project that would be announced in late December was the development of a Hunter's Cabin Website. Unlike the server migration, the development of this website would be no easy feat, as it would be not only extremely methodical but equally as expensive to create. The goal of this website would be to expand the community to emphasize the "pay it foward" mentality of their members. Additionally, it would aim to be the go-to website for any and all gaming-related questions, concerns, answers, and assistance. With this next project, it would be the biggest goal that The Hunter's Cabin has had yet.
The Hunter's Cabin Guides Server is Born - January 7, 2026
In preparation for the website project started at the end of 2025, one of the most pivotal aspects that the website would need is solid game-related guides. Similar to the other platform-related servers, a new server would be created specifically for guide writers and aspiring guide writers, looking to publish their very own useful guides to help out readers, such as "Trophy Guides" or "Walkthrough Guides". Since the website was still in mid-development, only a select few people were allowed to write and publish guides at first. This particular server is also meant to serve as a tool for writers looking for help with their guides and keep updated with newly published guides. Once the website was officially launched, it would be open for any user to create any guide of their choosing.
The Hunter's Cabin Website is Officially Launched - July 6, 2026
After several months of developing, preparation, and plenty of writing, the website became available to the general public for all to use to their heart's content. With the launch of the website came a mixture of new features and improved features for more options at users' fingertips:
News Tab: If you wanted to read a mixture of up-to-date topics and interesting gaming-related articles, there is now a dedicated "News" tab for all current and upcoming information in the gaming sphere.
Forums Added: Users can discuss their personal topics around games, events, announcements, or general feedback through these Forums to interact with other users about these interests.
Guides: One of the biggest additions within The Hunter's Cabin was the implementation of the "Guides" Tab, which users can find guides of their choosing and even write their very own guide about a game their passionate about.
Custom Profiles: Users now have their own dedicated profiles, which show them their current trophy list as well as the option to add their personal favorite trophies in the "Trophy Cabinet". There are plenty of aspects that can be customized to fit each player's personal preference.
Leaderboards: Since there are custom profiles that track trophy progression, it also allows the option for leaderboards to be created. These will rank users' overall profile based on their total points, calculated by their trophies as well as website achievements
Session + Reputation Feedback: Similar to the Discord server, users can create detailed game sessions for nearly any game. Users can choose the time of day, the number of players, and specific trophies that are intended to be earned during the session. Once sessions are over, you can directly rate the player's assistance from the session to provide an accurate rating of reliability and thoughtfulness.
Phase 4 - Future of The Hunter's Cabin
No matter the year, The Hunter's Cabin is always a place for reliability and paying that kindness forward. The community has been built on counting on each other and enjoying gaming to its fullest with the people you care about. While there are still more projects to be planned in the future, not all can be revealed quite yet, so stay tuned for these exciting additions.
And to end this historic biography is a final statement from the owner of The Hunter's Cabin.
"Whoever is reading and using the Hunter's Cabin, I hope they find positivity in using these facilities that I've tried to provide. I hope that everything that I've built and the environment that I've helped to create in all of this, that they get nothing but good things from it" - KobaltXero
