In October, players saw the release of numerous games during the month, with the two most notable releases being 'Halloween: The Game' and 'Wolverine'. The monthly games with PlayStation Plus were also notable, with titles like 'Hunt Showdown: 1896' fitting the Halloween aesthetic for October. With October coming to an end, a new lineup of monthly games appears for November, along with some new titles releasing throughout the month. Dead Island 2 | PS4/PS5

'Dead Island 2' was released on April 22, 2024, developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver. This title is the long-awaited sequel to its first game 'Dead Island' which is a first-person zombie game where a zombie outbreak has spread across Los Angleas and must discover how it all began. The base price for the Standard Edition of the game, outside of the PS Plus rotation, with no discounts applied, sits at $41.99 USD.
The Plot
The story follows a crew of Slayers who originally were planning on flying out of Los Angleas due to the increase in zombies in the area. However, that very plane would shortly crash, landing the Slayers right back in the zombie-infested Los Angleas. With the military attempting to contain the infection to prevent spreading, the group of survivors from the crash are stuck in the city. While being trapped in Los Angleas, it's up to these survivors to locate the source of the virus and level up their abilities at zombie killing.

'Dead Island 2' has a total of 60 Trophies (46 Trophies for Base Game + 14 Trophies for DLCs) and will take roughly 40-50 Hours to achieve 100% trophy completion.

This game has a handful of costume-related microtransactions for specific characters, with the actual game expansions tied to trophy lists being two DLC packs: "Dead Island 2 - Haus" at $6.99 USD and "Dead Island 2 - SoLA" at $9.99 USD. However, if you intend to purchase all the trophy-based DLC content, then it is recommended to buy the item listed below:
DEAD ISLAND 2 EXPANSION PASS - $15.99 USD
This is their equivalent of a "Season Pass", which will have both of the DLC packs that are tied to trophies, as well as an additional weapon and the 'Gaelic Queen Dani Character Pack'. For players looking to experience the entirety of this game, the expansion pass is a must-buy item.

'Monster Train 2' was released on May 21, 2025, developed by Shiny Shoe and published by Big Fan Games. This title is a sequel to 'Monster Train', with this game being a roguelike deckbuilder where you push through levels to encounter strong foes and survive the trials you will be pinned against. The base price for the Standard Edition of the game, outside of the PS Plus rotation, with no discounts applied, sits at $24.99 USD.
The Plot
Following the lore of the first 'Monster Train' game, Titans were created to form the natural laws of their world and form bodies for souls to inhabit. In this game, the Titans have arrived in Heaven and begun corrupting everything around them. To stop their corruption, the Angel Clan and Demon Clan would forge a new Covenant, which they would call The Abyss. This new faction must now save Heaven from complete destruction and prevent the destruction of their world.

'Monster Train 2' has a total of 60 Trophies (50 Trophies for Base Game + 9 Trophies for DLCs) and will take roughly 60-80 Hours (depending on how experienced the player is at roguelikes) to achieve 100% trophy completion.

As of writing, there is currently only one microtransaction necessary to purchase if you intend on earning all the trophies the game has to offer, which is called:
Monster Train 2: Destiny of the Railforged - $9.99 USD
This expansion will add a new clan, new artifacts, and enemies. There is also the introduction of a new run type, which plays directly into the new trophy list. There may be more content for the game in the future, but this is currently the only additional content that can be purchased.
Tomb Raider IV – VI Remastered | PS4/PS5

'Tomb Raider IV – VI Remastered' was released on February 14, 2025, and was developed and published by Aspyr Media. Unlike the previously mentioned games for this rotation, this single game actually contains three separate games built into one. This game is a remastered version of the following titles: 'Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation', 'Tomb Raider: Chronicles', and 'Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness'. The base price for the Standard Edition of the game, outside of the PS Plus rotation, with no discounts applied, sits at $29.99 USD.
The Plot
Since this release has numerous games attached to it, there are three different plots going on. In 'Tomb Raider IV' (Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation), a lost Egyptian tomb is set free and threatens to plunge the world into utter darkness. In 'Tomb Raider V' (Tomb Raider: Chronicles), friends and family members reminisce about secrets from Lara's past and everything following up to the prior game. In 'Tomb Raider VI' (Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness), Lara becomes a wanted fugitive and must investigate a conspiracy theory containing ancient artifacts with suspicious experiments.

'Tomb Raider IV – VI Remastered' has a total of an astonishing 169 Trophies (65 Trophies for 'Tomb Raider IV Remastered', 49 Trophies for 'Tomb Raider V Remastered', and 55 Trophies for 'Tomb Raider VI Remastered') and will take roughly 50-60 Hours to achieve 100% trophy completion.
DLC
This game has no purchasable DLC, as these titles are remasters of their original releases from 1999 to 2003. The extra trophy lists attached to the Base Game are for 'Tomb Raider V-VI Remastered' since it's released as a single game.
