Here's the latest...

There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing that little Platinum trophy pop after spending hours working toward it. Whether you’re already deep into your trophy-hunting journey or you’ve only recently started paying attention to those shiny trophies on your PlayStation profile, there’s always another game waiting to be completed. After earning more than 100 Platinum trophies, I’ve experienced just about every kind of Platinum hunt. I’ve played games with easy trophies, frustrating trophies, incredibly long grinds and surprisingly enjoyable completion journeys. For this list, though, I wanted to focus on something a little more relaxed: single-player games that I would genuinely recommend to anyone looking for their next Platinum. These aren’t necessarily the hardest games you can Platinum, and honestly, that’s the whole point. A good trophy list should encourage you to experience a game rather than make the Platinum feel like a second job. Sometimes the best Platinum is simply the one that lets you have a great time along the way. So, grab your controller, check that trophy list and let’s get hunting. 10. The Walking Dead Telltale Games Series Starting off the list is The Walking Dead from Telltale Games. If you’re looking for an easy introduction to trophy hunting, it’s difficult to go wrong with Telltale’s games. Their trophy lists are generally straightforward, with many trophies unlocking naturally as you progress through the story. And honestly, that simplicity is part of the appeal. The Walking Dead is much more about the decisions you make and the story you experience than mechanical skill. You get to follow an emotional narrative, make difficult choices and build relationships with the characters while the trophies gradually unlock in the background. The best part is that you don’t have to worry about mastering difficult combat sections or spending hours searching for dozens of collectibles. Sit back, enjoy the story and let the trophies come to you. For anyone looking for a relatively relaxed Platinum, this is a great place to start. 9. Life is Strange Series Speaking of story-driven games, the Life is Strange series is another fantastic option for trophy hunters. These games focus heavily on narrative, character relationships and exploration, making them a great choice if you prefer a slower-paced experience. The trophy lists also give you a reason to explore areas more carefully and discover optional content that you might otherwise overlook. Instead of simply rushing from one story mission to the next, you’re encouraged to take your time and see what the game has hidden away. If you’ve never played Life is Strange, my advice would be not to approach it purely as a Platinum opportunity. Let yourself get invested in the characters and the story. The trophies can almost feel like a bonus for taking the time to experience everything the game has to offer. And with multiple games in the series, completing them can turn into a pretty enjoyable little Platinum marathon. 8. Infamous Second Son Now we’re moving into something a little more action-packed. inFAMOUS Second Son is one of those PlayStation games that I think every trophy hunter should experience at least once. You play as Delsin Rowe, explore Seattle and gain access to a variety of powers while working through the game's missions and activities. What makes the Platinum particularly interesting is that the trophy list encourages you to experience both sides of the story. That means there’s actually a reason to play through the game again rather than simply repeating the same experience for the sake of a trophy. As a fun fact, this game is the first ever Ps4 plat trophy I got. It’s not an incredibly demanding Platinum, but there’s enough variety to keep things interesting. Plus, there’s something ridiculously satisfying about running around Seattle throwing superpowers at pretty much everything in sight. 7. Detroit: Become Human If you enjoy games where your choices actually matter, Detroit: Become Human feels almost designed for trophy hunters. The game follows multiple characters through an interactive story where your decisions can dramatically change what happens. Characters can live, die, relationships can change and entire sections of the story can play out differently depending on what you choose. That’s where the Platinum becomes particularly interesting. You’re encouraged to replay chapters and make completely different decisions to discover alternate outcomes. Instead of feeling like you're simply replaying the same game for trophies, you’re uncovering different versions of the story. It can be difficult to make some of the choices the game asks of you, especially when you’ve become attached to the characters. So, maybe don’t get too attached to everyone, or do after all it is your story. 6. Skyrim The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim isn’t simply a game. It’s a place you can disappear into for hundreds of hours. For trophy hunters, that makes Skyrim both exciting and slightly terrifying. The Platinum requires you to experience a huge amount of what the game has to offer, from quests and exploration to factions and the countless strange adventures scattered throughout Skyrim. What I love about this Platinum is that there isn’t really one correct way to approach it. You can become a warrior, mage, thief or assassin. You can follow the main story, spend hours exploring caves or somehow find yourself collecting ingredients for a potion you never planned on making I mean what else can I say that’s Skyrim. If you have the patience for a massive open-world adventure and want a Platinum that can keep you busy for a long time, this is one worth having. 5. Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 Version If you're looking for something much bigger, you've got Cyberpunk 2077. Night City is absolutely massive, and there's a ridiculous amount of stuff to do. Main missions, side quests, gigs, collectibles and all sorts of random things you'll stumble across while simply driving around. The Platinum isn't something you're going to knock out in an afternoon. You're going to spend some serious time in Night City. But that's exactly why I recommend it. If you're already someone who loves open-world games, the trophy list gives you another reason to explore everything the game has to offer and on PS5, the game is a completely different experience compared with the launch version. Yeaaaah, we don't talk about the launch version. So if you've been avoiding Cyberpunk because of its original reputation, I'd definitely give the PS5 version a chance. And perhaps consider the DLC that's all I shall say. 4. Borderlands 3 Sometimes you don’t want a complicated trophy hunt. Sometimes you just want to shoot things, collect ridiculous amounts of loot and watch numbers get bigger that’s where Borderlands 3 comes in. The game offers a huge amount of content, including the main story, side missions, collectibles, challenges and more enemies than you could probably count. For trophy hunters, that gives you plenty of reasons to keep playing even after you've completed the campaign. The colourful environments, ridiculous weapons and humour also make the grind considerably more enjoyable. There’s something satisfying about finding a completely overpowered legendary weapon and immediately testing it out on whatever unfortunate enemy happens to be standing nearby. And honestly, finding a ridiculous legendary weapon is basically its own reward. 3. Until Dawn If you’re looking for something a little shorter and more focused but still want a story-driven Platinum with a horror twist, Until Dawn is an excellent choice. The game feels like an interactive horror movie where your decisions determine who survives and how the story unfolds. Naturally, the trophy list gives you plenty of reasons to make some questionable decisions along the way. Multiple playthroughs are useful because you’ll need to experience different outcomes and discover various collectibles and events. The great thing is that replaying Until Dawn doesn't necessarily feel repetitive because changing one decision can completely alter what happens later. It’s a great option for a weekend Platinum session. Assuming, of course, you don't mind screaming at your television. 2. Marvel Spiderman Before Spider-Man 2, Insomniac had already created one of the most enjoyable trophy hunting experience on PlayStation with the original Marvel’s Spider-Man. Its approachable trophy list encourages you to explore New York, complete side missions, take on various activities and experience everything the game has to offer without making the journey feel like a chore. For newer trophy hunters especially, this is one I’d recommend as a great starting point. It strikes that sweet spot of being engaging enough to keep you hunting while still feeling relaxed and achievable, showing exactly what a good Platinum should be. If by chance you have the ps4 version, you can instantly plat the game on a ps5 using the save transfer feature. 1. ASTRO's Playroom Okay, I couldn’t finish this list without mentioning ASTRO’s Playroom. After all, if you own a PS5, there’s a very good chance you already have this game sitting on your console. Unlike ASTRO BOT, which is a separate full-sized game, ASTRO’s Playroom comes pre-loaded with the PS5 and is free for PS5 users. For trophy hunters, that makes it an easy recommendation. It’s a short, colourful platformer that does a great job of showing off what the PS5 and Dualsense controller can do, while also celebrating PlayStation’s history through its different worlds, collectibles and references. The trophy hunt is also enjoyable rather than feeling like a massive grind, making it a perfect game to knock out when you want a relatively relaxed Platinum. And that's my Top 10 single player games I'd recommend for trophy hunting. After earning 104 Platinum trophies, one thing I've come to realise is that a Platinum doesn't necessarily have to be difficult to be satisfying. Sometimes you want that insanely challenging trophy that makes you question every life decision that led you there, while other times, there's nothing better than sitting back, enjoying a great game and hearing that satisfying *ding* at the end. For me, the best trophy lists are the ones that encourage you to experience more of what a game has to offer, rather than playing a game you don't like into a repetitive grind just for the sake of completion. So, if you're looking for your next Platinum, hopefully one of these games has caught your attention and given you something to add to that ever growing backlog. If you've already played all ten... well, congratulations! You clearly have your trophy hunting priorities in order. Now let's grab some friends, fire up the PlayStations, and see how many more Platinum we can knock out together.
